  • Cybertruck Down
  • The damage to the other car, jesus. It's been said before, but it's only a matter of time until they start selling people literal APCs

  • UN passes resolution . US abstain vote.

Holy shit. (CW: Self immolation but it's a US troop)
  • This won't make any headlines. A monk in Tibet? Plastered everywhere. People throwing paint or soup or whatever on art? Everywhere, drives the chuds rage. But they'll hardly mention this.

  • Geographically it makes sense. They have hundreds of miles of dense amazon jungle on all sides of them, their nearest trading partners for most of their colonial history would have been their immediate neighbors in French Guiana and Venezuela, (or their historic counterparts) and the islands in the west indies, many of which were also colonial possessions under the same flags.

I never took the time to think of those three and their relationship to the rest of South America, from an outsider it looked strange too. But materially the cultural divide makes sense.

  • So who are you voting for?
  • That dudes 24???

  • I can't imagine Trump had the healthiest shits either. After all, he was the man who stated people had to flush their toilets "five or six times"

    CORRECTION It was 10,15, times.

  • What are some obvious racist and chauvinist things that are totally normalized?
  • As someone who works in a "safety" focused industry, I hear stuff like this all the time. It's not entirely untrue that yes, working conditions in underdeveloped countries can be worse than in the West, but no one stops to examine why, it always comes across as calipers shit. Sometimes plainly so.

  • It's nice of the US to remind China after every meeting that they will stab them in the back the first chance they get

  • Dating apps are so fucking cursed
  • So there's hope at least. But it's true, these apps obviously have an incentive to keep you looking. You really have to beat the system somehow.

  • Dating apps are so fucking cursed
  • How are people's experiences with Hinge? I've been pretty isolated for the past three years, haven't used a dating app in four (Tinder, one good date, one meh, one terrible.) As someone else stated, I'm out of college, hardly do anything social these days, just desperate to get out and have some sort of relationship again. I've had a friend recommend it.

  • Yeah
  • Is it? I feel like there's some weird things going on when you really zoom in. But I don't know. I'm already over this AI hellworld.
