Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • At that time, I was organising a literature café online with another open source group via 'Jitsi Meet'. My own literature and recitations by female authors combined with live music.

But we never made it to 'Jamulus', it was always just a dream. 😃 ;-)

  • Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • I have always been a very enjoyable consumer at these 'Privacy Week Vienna' online events. I was never involved in the planning and realisation (unfortunately?).

I still have four! simultaneous translators! forgotten, sorry. 😃

  • Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • I hope you're not bored of reading all this.

But someone, like with your background, I just don't think you've told me one about the horse, I'd like to tell you things in a bit more detail. 😃 ;-)

  • Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • For me, the mother of all online events is a great, great orientation. From high-calibre journalists and IT specialists to outstanding musicians. Everything about 'Jitsi Meet', really, really great, in Corona times.

Unfortunately, this event no longer exists. It was cancelled at its peak. But there are endeavours to revive it. 😃 ;-) It took years for them to get there, but they got better every year. The 'Privacy Week Vienna' was organised with the Chaos Computer Club, CCC Vienna. I imagine something along these lines with the 'Vivaldi Live Talk'. 😃 ;-) Only much, much smaller. Not as professional, of course.

Unfortunately, it couldn't be shorter. Now I've described the rough framework for you.

    Thank you

  • Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • Ohhh, hello, that sounds really, really great. And you also run your own 'Jamulus' server. You don't do that if you don't enjoy these things. 😃 ;-) Let me tell you what this is all about.

We're already planning a regular, German-language (doesn't matter if you don't speak German) 'Vivaldi Live Talk' online event for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/14626610 under here

In the initial phase, there will be several events at not too long intervals. Initially there will be an open discussion, which of course will not be recorded, about everything to do with the Vivaldi browser, including planned and prepared topics. These events may last a little longer, there should be room for topics that arise during the event.

There should be a cultural programme according to the motto Vivaldi users delight Vivaldi users and interested parties. This could include all kinds of activities, such as slide shows with photos taken by the users themselves, photos of pictures they have painted, sculptures and artefacts. Literature Readings of your own texts or recitations by known and unknown authors, whatever you particularly like. And music, of course. Self-played, of course also cover versions, preferably live, but recordings are also nice if they are homemade.

I don't know if you've ever experienced 'Privacy Week Vienna'.

  • I don't think you need to miss 'Windows Phone'. It was just as much a data octopus from which there was no escape.

How 'Nokia' would have developed is a good question. But they didn't want to or couldn't develop their own operating system. I also used to have a nice 'slider' from Nokia.

The eternal topic presented in a nice, intelligent way. Worth reading https://roberttrancevarga2.vivaldi.net/the-ongoing-battle-ios-vs-android-unveiling-the-mobile-operating-system-showdown/#comment-22497

Are there people here who make music themselves?
  • That you are using the Vivaldi Browser. 😃 ;-) Even if you're just trying it out.

This is supposed to be current for the 'Vivaldi Live Talk'. Vivaldi users create a small culture programme for Vivaldi users.

However, we are always looking for musicians who are interested in participating, regardless of this event.

    German-speaking 'Vivaldi Live Talk'

Is anyone here interested in a regular online 'Vivaldi Live Talk' in German for Germany, Austria and Switzerland? And of course for all those who are interested.

    Everything about the Vivaldi Browser.

This is not an official advertisement of the company 'Vivaldi'. I am just a volunteer supporter of the, for me, very good Vivaldi Browser. ;-)

    Deutschsprachiger 'Vivaldi Live Talk'

We are preparing a project in our room on the New open source messenger 'SimpleX' to introduce and promote the upcoming DebConf 2023 in India, Kochi.

With contributions in that room and various 'Jitsi Meet' events from Kochi.

These annual 'DebConfs' and several 'MiniDebConfs' in a year, are a unique selling point of Debian and springs from the spirit, philosophy of GNU/Linux. Opening these events around the world to Debian users and getting them involved is the idea behind them.

Debian also lives from the discussion of controversial topics. For this, I think, Jitsi Meet lends itself.

There is now a room for Debian.de on the New open source messenger 'SimpleX'.This room is also multilingual: German - English.

    For newcomers and experienced people.

Everything that is somehow related to Debian can go in here.

If you are interested, please share this link for this room https://simplex.chat/contact#/?v=1-4&smp=smp%3A%2F%2Fhejn2gVIqNU6xjtGM3OwQeuk8ZEbDXVJXAlnSBJBWUA%3D%40smp16.simplex.im%2F9qOMeGL2HgMCDCZ1G6GDw0uI9JIzIBHC%23%2F%3Fv%3D1-2%26dh%3DMCowBQYDK2VuAyEAAhYJRP2-VnRiIOapCcmXpat2byJIb_XSlX95oIHy7xg%253D%26srv%3Dp3ktngodzi6qrf7w64mmde3syuzrv57y55hxabqcq3l5p6oi7yzze6qd.onion&data=%7B%22type%22%3A%22group%22%2C%22groupLinkId%22%3A%22NYwp2h1tY2L8xXGOApn2UA%3D%3D%22%7D

Hello, does anyone here know if the messenger 'Briar' can be used in China?

Or does the operating system or 'WeChat' immediately report it to the government?

Maybe someone here can say something about this. Gladly also about 'Briar'.

[Matrix], 'Jabber/XMPP' and 'Briar' are excellent open source messengers.

No comparison to WhatsApp and Co.

Even if Threads from Facebook/Meta is already going through the roof in the USA.
