Former Borderlands 3 creative director is working on a 'secret' multiplayer shooter at a new studio founded by developers tired of 'huge budgets and recycled mechanics'
  • Loved State of Decay so I wouldn't mind it. Tarkov's gameplay is like that of a battle royale, except the objective isn't necessarily to kill all the other players. You loot and complete missions and other players are obstacles, and after doing your business you go to an extraction point and return to the main menu, which simulates a home base where you can use your loot to improve your build and restock before heading out again.

  • Any meteorologist that can help me figure out what the heck this line is?
  • My non-expert but I just read a book about clouds guess:

Those cirrus clouds are typically made of ice crystals. A plane disturbed them, leaving a contrail of water. Water refracts light differently than ice, seen more clearly at dusk.

  • I'll take two Pedros with a side of Henry
  • Another less serious thing: backing up the "girls don't need muscle hunks" with pictures of a bunch of famous actors, several of which are definitely jacked, is not proving the point you want it to.

  • I'll take two Pedros with a side of Henry
  • I see this sentiment all the time and it always bothered me, but I only recently realized exactly why: you're not talking about the same thing as the cis straight guys.

You don't have to be that attractive to find love. Plenty of ugly people have relationships. Just be yourself, dress well, don't say stupid things etc then go out and meet people and you'll probably meet someone you vibe with. But that's not really what the cis straight guys are talking about. They want to put less effort into having a sex life. They want to walk into a party and have women approach them. They want to feel conventionally attractive. Best way to do that is to be somewhat muscular.

  • Punched my way to the top with 3 challenges
  • Gg! I never considered upgrading the Ring of Force that much. Always seemed better to just put those upgrades into a weapon. I'm aware of thr Brawler's Stance though. Did you just forego the weapon abilities for the damage from the ring?

  • How do you know you aren't smart?
  • Any position I hold is toppled over with the slightest argument unless I have very recently done a ton of research on the topic. I have zero ability to recall whatever evidence I used to come to a conclusion. It's incredibly frustrating because I do try to be informed about things but I just can't defend anything at the pace of a normal conversation.

  • What book(s) are you currently reading or listening? November 6
  • I just finished Raising Steam, and thus have completed the Discworld novels, bar the Science of thr Discworld books. What an adventure. I wasn't much of a reader going into it and it took me years to finish them all, but I am so glad I did it and proud I stuck with it all this time.

  • Intentional? Scroll of Transmutation used on a +10 Alchemist's Toolkit
  • I don't think it works the same for Artifacts at all. If it did, getting a +10 Greaves of Nature via Transmuting a Master Thief's Armband or something would be way better than getting it by feeding seeds to the Sandals of Nature.

Edit: I'm wrong. I wonder if it's only the Alchemist's Toolkit or Dried Rose that screw it up.

  • What is the best way to use the Battlemage?

I feel like I can't get the Battlemage to work for me. The bonus effect on the staff is very cool and I feel like I see some theoretical synergies with artifacts that can be charged quickly with melee strikes, but in practice it seems like I always eventually run short on resources and can't output the damage I need.
