That said, I hate it since so much of it is dependent on a single device that can generally be opened by just applying REDACTED to the screen and doing REDACTED to narrow down the lock code significantly.

I think a pin like that is harder to remember for people, and even to get it using fingerprints is difficult because you cover a lot of the numbers giving false information
I would date them so we can amaze people about the amount of movies and shows we haven't watched combined.
I have tried the Google earbuds, they work, even in the terrible condition that they're in after 5+ years of rough use

I am not sure where I land on this issue, I am not entirely sold that it should have been filled to the brim and packed tightly but it does seem like they could have done better either for repairability or at least having things like a headphone jack and maybe better speakers (I have read that speakers can do better with more hollow space without adding much weight but I'm not knowledgeable enough)
