When Windows 10 dies, I am going to jump ship over to Linux. Which version would you recommend for someone with zero prior experience with Linux? **Edit: Linux Mint it shall be.**
  • Microsoft also releases another edition of Windows under Long Term Support Channel (LTSC) for enterprises.

You can grab the genuine ISO (non-eval) variant and then activate it using MAS or something. The thing about this edition of Windows is that it comes with less bloatware apps, updates are available for longer period and more.

Every 3 years, they refresh the ISO file. So this year, you can expect a W11 LTSC. But W10 LTSC will remain supported till 2029 or something.

  • IMO religion shouldn't exist in 21st Century.

We have machines going beyond solar system, scientific evidence that earth revolves around Sun , ability to interact with people on the other side of globe instantly and more.......

None of these things have religion ever predicted. And sometimes even being grossly wrong.

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/5093191 >The Bromite project has been inactive for the last 9 months or so. Today I found this fork of Bromite that's well maintained and seems to work flawlessly. Hope it helps others who were looking for a replacement.

    Is Sharehsset crashing for everyone?

Since yesterday, sharesheet is crashing for me on the first time it open. The crash may even result in crashing the app from which the share was invoked.

Some of my friends are also facing this issue. Can anyone confirm if they are also facing this?
