  • Uhh something emblematic of the country and unfortunate, like a police hate crime somewhere, and Harris wins.

  • Ouch, I guess if he just never mentioned Trump they might not check but there was probably some incriminating searches on his phone or something. Whole situation sounds like drugs or untreated mental illness.

  • This guy seems to not be a failed assassin, just an idiot. A sovereign citizen who loves Trump. The sheriff in Riverside was just early to declare it as an assassination attempt but they released the guy on 5000$ bail and he's posting videos explaining he just loves Trump and has guns in the car.

  • She's really been on one recently. Hungry for a cabinet position probably?

  • I'd do Amtrak between the major NE cities to Philly, DC, and split. Maybe rent a car and head to Shenandoah if you're curious about the nature, or up to Maine from Boston. Don't really need to do tourism elsewhere it's all highways and corn fields even if the weather is nice, and some national parks that are cool but not worth the added cost I'm sure.

Good chance there's something to do in NYC if you look but there's a good local music scene in Philly, we also have a football club but no idea on schedules. I'm not sure if I recommend tourism in the US.

  • I just pirate it. Latest version isn't always available but I got mine from rutracker like a year ago.

  • It's perhaps a naive outlook but I've met a lot of Chinese workers in Africa through online video chat websites, and I'd say there's just a different logic to the development versus previous "development" when French/US interests were involved. Whether these are real differences or pragmatic decisions to dedollarize, or whether it matters at the end of the day versus in the history books, I can believe it's a minority sentiment there, even if it is a bit propagandist. You'd probably see similar rates in surveys of the US, for different reasons.

  • Crypto's the common private interest of a lot of the tech sector, and whoever has happened to get freshly minted playing is swinging their wad and naturally a lot aren't the best with money. "Pro-crypto" is just code for not giving a fuck and allowing the worst excesses which gig economy can get away with for as long as possible.

  • There was probably a more lucrative scam to embed, seems like what they did was very low risk for the perp.

  • Anything resembling justice for Palestine is off the table, just courting mythical never Trumpers.

  • Nice, if this means easily being able to tell Google Play Services to fuck off without having to do sketchy things to people's phones then yay. Those are some big rulings, hope none of it gets changed!

I'm a little surprised at the characterization in the headline. I only have a handful of things installed from Google's app store myself so I felt like the alternatives are out there but I guess for official services' apps it's at the brand's discretion which app stores Google Play Services will enforce they be installed from or something?

  • Glad this is so easily answered nowadays. Sure ideally Russia would figure out how to work with its neighbors in spite of NATO's covert & overt actions, but ideally the ruling class of the US & NATO wouldn't be insane neoconservatives lying to themselves to justify their weapon contracts' dividends.

  • I can't imagine they think it's going to change the policy, there's "only" a few thousand of these deathtraps on the road thankfully. It's hardly even worth doing but apparently things are really that bad. Or Berkshire Hathaway/some execs are shorting Tesla. Who knows.

  • These fucking limits that are enacted without mandatory, automatic inflation adjustments really just gives up how much of a sham this country is. Even at the best of times, these "solutions" were just never intended to be supported.
