Chip Enjoyers - What's your favourite brand/type of chip?
  • I’m not a chip guy, but I bought a family sized bag of cheddar lays poppables for a long train ride a few months ago, and damn near ate the whole thing by myself. Haven’t bought another for fear of doing it again. Also the bag was like $4!

  • As someone who is aging. Late thirties. How can I keep my finger on the pulse of current trends, particularly in music?
  • Spotify is much better for music discovery / public playlists. I use Apple Music because it’s cheaper with the family plan, but if I’m wanting new music I will often open up Spotify just to view the playlists there and add the songs I like to my Apple Music playlists.

  • Rule 🌿
  • For real. I moved recently, and tried one of the best rated dispensaries in the area. The place legitimately had a bouncer and all the other staff were in lab coats. Felt like buying in a forensics lab, shit was unnerving

  • The IT experience?
  • The worst. Our IT is outsourced to some bottom-of-the-barrel garbage company, and they both have no idea what they are doing and work in a different timezone, so you have to wait a working day for responses like ‘did you try turning it off and on again?’. Everyone just emails the head of IT with their issues, which defeats the whole point of the system.

  • What's the most expensive thing you broke as a kid and what's the story behind it?
  • I feel like, depending on your age at the time, this is more on her than you. I’m an adult, and I don’t buy myself clothes that can’t handle the normal setting on my washer and dryer. I know it would be a case of when, not if, I’d forget. No way I’d trust a child to pay attention to something like that.

  • Developers of Lemmy who worked both in mobile video game and console/pc video game industries, which did you prefer, and why?
  • To expand on this from a different perspective, I’m not a game developer, I have an analytics background. A mobile game company popped up on my Indeed feed not too long ago, looking to fill what basically amounted to a position whose sole goal was to make their games as addictive as possible. I’m not saying that those kinds of roles don’t exist in more traditional game development, but it seems par for the course with mobile gaming.
