If one is not inclined to social gatherings but still feel a need for something to signal this passage (or any other), a good option is to perform a personal ritual of choice.
Human brains seem to be inclined to appreciate symbolism.
This wasn't my case, my parents were very well adjusted for the most part but it did happen to a former partner. It was usually accompanied by a deep silence and denial. Hope it gradually gets more normalized to at least talk about it; even if therapeutic alternatives may not be available, having support from friends and family is a huge improvement.
The only good part of calls is when someone's pet gets into frame. It's usually cats bc they can jump into desks, but sometimes someone will pick their dog up for us.
