I just had a horrible experience with Assassins game purchased through Steam. I had bought the game few years back. Played some and stopped. And deleted my Ubisoft account. This week I downloaded the game again hoping to play it. I created a new Ubisoft account but the game wouldn’t launch.
Hours spent with the support got me nowhere. In summary, their response is that since the original Ubisoft account was linked to the purchase, they cannot now link the game to the new account.
I provided the Steam proof of purchase but that didn’t help.
Steam support didn’t help either.
I can’t play a game I purchased and own.
This should be illegal!
Thanks! It worked this time. Maybe it was a temporary issue/outage.
Today someone replied to one of my comments but the notification bell did not alert me.
Good catch. Thanks for the clarification.
Unless your mind is set on the cooler, I recommend Thermalright which I used in my recent build. Works great!

After much deliberation I ended up with the following build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RCNvwc
It all went great. Still waiting for the graphics card to arrive.
Thank you all for the comments!
I don't know what's different but Corsair 1000W (2023) is cheaper than the 2021 version. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BYQHWJXC?psc=1
Consider 980 PRO instead of 970 EVO. In my country, it is $10 more on Amazon but the rated read/write speeds are significantly higher.
For YouTube Shorts, you can copy this filter into the uBlock My Filters.
I'm trying to find out the difference between Solidigm and Samsung Evo. They both state "NVMe". Can you help me understand how they are different?

I switched from Gmail to iCloud and from iCloud to Fastmail. Couldn't be happier. Give it a try.
Thank you! I liked the "as-needed" approach. Will drop the HDD from my build.
I wanted to add a second picture to the original post but could not find a way. My apologies if it is not all right to submit a second post shortly after the first. Please let me know and I will delete this post.
Based on some of the comments, I decided to build a relatively high-end configuration. I would love to hear your thoughts on this new build.
My goal is to play video games at 144 Hz and 1440p and perform heavy photo/video editing. And 4K in the future when I upgrade my existing monitor. Also I would like to keep this build for at least 5 years if not more. In other words, I don't want to spend any more money in the next 5+ years.
Update: After much deliberation I ended up with the following build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RCNvwc
It all went great. Still waiting for the graphics card to arrive.
Thank you all for the comments!
Any thoughts on how to go about running the cable from 2nd floor to 1st floor where the cable modem and router are? Sounds like a job for which I would need to hire someone.
What would be a better option for the graphics card? Top tier cards can go more than $1k. I just don't know where to stop without breaking the bank.
Thank you for your thoughts! Only reason I picked the ssd is perceived reliability. Hoping to keep the machine for at least 10 years. I don't expect the hdd randomly failing but you never know. Maybe I need to research the storage option a little bit more.
All the PC parts should be compatible on paper but if there is something standing out please let me know. Or if there is a better alternative that I am not aware of, I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
PS. The 6750xt was $379 just yesterday :( Missed my window.
This is awesome. I was just asking about moderation a few days ago. Let us know what the users can do to make it a thriving and welcoming community.
Hello fellow football enthusiasts!
I hope you're all enjoying our community dedicated to the beautiful game. I wanted to ask your opinion regarding the current state of moderation and rules, and I'd appreciate your thoughts.
I've noticed that our community has only one moderator who hasn't posted anything in the past three weeks. This raises questions about how we can ensure that discussions remain productive, respectful, and in line with community guidelines.

What specific rules or guidelines do you believe are necessary to maintain a healthy and constructive discussion?

Does anyone know the moderator? I wonder if we can reach out to him/her. I sent a message but haven't heard back yet.
Thank you!
