  • Pokémon Silver Fakemon

I converted my speculative species into a thematically fitting normal/poison Pokemon.

Venom Bite is the only custom move. Physical, poison, 120 power, 70% accuracy and 30% chance to poison the target. It's supposed to be poison variant of the Gen 2 Thunder.

No actual rom hack was done. This was a cheeky video edit, but all of the stats, sprite and flavor texts are within the original game constraints. Gen 2 Pokemon have 10 character limit so "Maned dragon" had to be abbreviated.

I scaled the IVs and EVs referring to my L73 Vaporeon, so every stat should be plausible and moves in the video is what Manedragon would have in wild. They're not optimized for anything.

    ---

    PokeDex:

    No. ??? Manedragon Venomous Type / Normal Poison HT 3'11" <!-- 120 cm at head --> WT 99.2lb <!-- 45 kg -->

Flavor texts: Silver txt It prefers to hunt alone and is ready to strike with its txt venom. Yet it forms unique bonds with its own kind. Gold: txt Its venomous bite can defeat larger prey than itself. txt Despite its name and looks it's not a true dragon.

  • Opinions about TCG Pocket?

Hi everyone, I've been trying the new app for the TCG and so far it's been quite a nice experience. Obviously the predatory mechanisms that were obvious to be present are quite hard to ignore, and the slight dumbing down of an (already way too) easy battle system surely makes challenges a bit more frustrating in that they get quite simple to read. However, the UX Is slick as hell and the way packets are opened really makes you feel all of that sweet dopamine hit you get from the real thing. Have you had any way to try It as well? What do you think about It?

  • save file stuff? help needed

First of all I'm sorry I'm posting here so much. Hope I'm at least providing some filler for this place.

I'd like to edit some stuff into my save because I'm lazy and don't wanna grind. I also want to hack in an old sea map. Are there any save editors with Linux support?

  • Do we have any shiny hunters here? I'd like to share what is by FAR my longest hunt!

!Yes, this is seriously how long it took. Each soft reset takes one minute and three seconds if playing optimally which I most certainly wasn't frequently, although starting at 16384 resets (twice the odds) I started dual hunting on a copy of Black 2 as well, so you can effectively cut every SR's time in half after that. I don't remember when I started, but I always would watch TV shows whenever I would hunt, so here's all the shows I went through:

    Gurren Lagann

    SpyxFamily (season 3 hype!)

    The Sopranos

    Parasyte: The Maxim

    Kaguya-Sama: Love is War

    Last Week Tonight seasons 1-3

    Assassination Classroom

King of the Hill seasons 1-7

And finally, the little bugger showed up during the second-to-last episode of Horimiya!

Prior to this, my longest hunt was somewhere in the 16000s.

  • thoughts on event pokemon?

Like most people (I assume) I hate the event mons. Wtf do you mean I have to live in likeonee country to get some mythical, just treat it like a story legendary.

  • do you prefer 2d or 3d pokemon games?

Personally I fond the 2d ones nicer, idk why bit pokemon look better in pixel art. That and modern pokemon has so many loading zones.

Tried to play sword abotehr day and damn so many loading zones,

That said I will admit things like signature moves look a lot better in 3d, its just loading times for crossing a bridge is uhhhhh

What I'm tryna say is I prefer the looks of pixel art Pokémon.

As for my team I have other major issues I'm working to fix. I have like 2 steel types and 3 water types.

Its lombre, wingull, gardevoir, the first evolution of mudkip, magneton and Aron.

I'm considering a slugma or torkoal, and am contemplating building the machop. What would your recommendations be? I just beat gym 5 (barely, I need a team that isn't held together by my ace)

The new Pokémon series is actually great

Hi there, I was bored so decided to watch the new Pokémon horizons series featuring new protagonist Liko. I was surprised how good this was, the concept of adventuring without gyms, not too many Pokémon but getting good with few, the characters, the storyline, no annoying team rocket, an even cooler Pikachu (sorry to hurt OG Pikachu fans). Definitely will recommend a watch, I am currently at 40th episode, and it just keeps getting better, the characters are amazing, and the bad guys are really cool too, slightly more competitive than team rocket (expecting them to put even greater fight).

  • Event Notice: Suicune Research (Sleep)

Beginning in early September, 2024, we will be holding an event—Suicune Research!

You can exchange samples of Suicune Mane that you collect during the event for Suicune Incense, which you can use to research Suicune’s various sleep styles!

Water-type helper Pokémon will be particularly effective during this event, so we recommend raising your Water-type helper Pokémon to get ready! Water-type helper Pokémon: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Psyduck, Golduck, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Vaporeon, Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Wooper, Quagsire, Slowking, Quaxly, and Quaxwell.

We’re also preparing some functions and rewards that will allow everyone—even Pokémon Sleep beginners—to research Suicune’s sleep styles and befriend it more easily.

More details and the event’s start date are coming in a later update. We hope you’re looking forward to this event!
