  • Now this is something I won't get behind. No one in a great mind would think that Winnie the Pooh's skin colour is of any importance on attacking Xi. Otherwise, another person that always get used together as a meme, that's Obama, a black person is depicted as Tigger, which doesn't make a damn sense. Let me tell how this meme is being used for over a decade, especially in Chinese social media: troll with Winnie the Pooh and put everyone as a character from the cartoon series. What does that mean? It means every politician that wants to appear serious, stoic or charismatic are just a target to be satirised. As simple is. Another troll is to criticise arbitrary censorship in China. Yes, it's still banned to mention "維尼”, but there's an alternative name for it “噗噗熊”, and selling merchandises about them are completely fine. There's nothing racist about this meme, unless some stupid unfunny reactionaries use it simply because of the skin colour, in which I've never seen it has been done this way, in Anglosphere or Sinosphere.
