The devs actually put in a lot of effort to produce a proper game worth it's price. So, do these devs think they're better then the rest of us or something? Lame. /s

(not op) The strongest argument I could make is that DND 5e is not a good system and holds the game back, but even that doesn't really make it "fundamentally a bad game".
I would say, if I wanted to really criticize it, it's puddle deep compared to Pathfinder... but it's still an excellent game. In no way is it a bad game.

Its some annoying narrator telling you what's happening instead of showing you what's happening. Like it'll say "you are in anguish" and your character just stands there staring at a wall. DnD this way doesn't translate well to a game.
