I'm waiting for my wife to give birth! We're going to have a little girl this weekend and I'm so excited. It's our first, so there's lots of nervousness about it.
- Amazing! Man its gonna be so magical for you, seeing her for the first time. Remember to take so many pictures of the little one throughout the first months cuz my god they grow FAST. Congrats to you both!
- Congratulations! Do you have a name ready or are you going to wait and see what fits once she’s here?

  Yeah, so we just finished up and are relaxing in the postpartum room. My god, it was a messy process there at the end.
  But I got the little redhead girl I wanted, so my wife and I are very happy.

A friend who I've only known through the Internet is flying up to a neighboring city. So, my husband and I are driving down to meet him in person for the first time.
It's crazy that I've interacted with him for close to a decade without ever meeting him physically. Wish me luck!

I'm camping on the side of a lake at a state park with some family friends, which is very fun.

Visiting my 6w/o nephew at the hospital. He was born early with a heart failure and immediately taken to a special cardiological clinic and I hadn't had time to visit him and his parents yet. I'm quite excited to meet the little guy.

  Thank you. He's doing fine, just waiting for corrective surgery now. That will fix the defect permanently (TGA, in case anyone is interested)

Friday was my 40^th birthday.
Saturday will be spent playing with my new lenses, reading my new TTRPG books and finally playing in the Pathfinder 2e campaign I'm in.
Sunday will be yardwork and relaxing.

Currently drinking a beer in bed. Tomorrow I'm going hiking in the morning and to a country dance bar at night. (The latter is definitely not my thing, but I'm being supportive of a friend.) Sunday, another hike and lunch with a friend, and then I'm thinking backyard fire pit time with my partner. Monday ideally will be games all day, but we'll see if life gets in the way.

I'm gonna install arch linux for the first time :3
Today I did a bit of handywork around the house.
- It will be difficult to understand how to set up the boot partition, at least it was for me the first time. But I learned a lot during my first failed attempts... :)
  Arch has an installer these days though which often works but not always.

Seeing family and playing D&D.

Planning to drug myself into sleep, then live vicariously through Lemmy when insomnia kicks in, maybe write something of use to someone, while trying to balance painkillers, nightmares, and existential anguish long enough to get to physical therapy next week, without thinking too much about what I want/should do but can't.

Been taking to a guy and hoping to go on a date or something. Pokemon GO and cuddles is a date, right?

All stocked up on healthy snacks and homemade sun tea. Gonna play Baldur's Gate all weekend.
- What is sun tea?
  
  Tea brewed over a couple to few hours in the sun. Drop some teabags into a large glass container, seal it up, and place it into sunlight. Works best on especially hot days, as you can run the risk of bacteria if it doesn't get to a hot enough temperature to kill it.

Hitting the beach before it gets too cold for the season.
- Same here! Although my partner has no concept of “too cold” so we’ll end up on the beach in the middle of winter too.
  Talking to our little boy our plans for the beach are:
  Make a smiley face, Find Seaweed, SAUSAGES!
- That sounds nice. We spent a pile of time at beaches this summer

Baldur's Gate on PS5
- Has there been any reviews out yet about how it plays on PS5? I am planning on getting it for PS5 (once I finally finish BOTW) but haven’t seen anything yet about what it’s like on PS5 compared to PC

I ended up starting Deathloop. I feel like I just started but I am apparently several hours in.
There's also some other games I've been putting off finishing that I might go back and play but I feel like then I'm just going to put off progressing in Deathloop.

Visited my long-distance partner for a chill few days. Headed back soon and getting good hikes, and tike with friends.

It’s my wife’s 30th birthday. We had dinner at our favorite German bar last night then we came home and buzzed all my hair off. Today we’re going to the coast for a day out then tomorrows the big day. Still waiting on some gifts to get here but I figure they’ll be held up in the mail.

Work! Just started a new job making more than my last one, woohoo.

  The wonderful world of retail! 😂 But hopefully it'll help me get back to where I want to be, which is going back to school to finish my bachelor's in medical laboratory science.

  Eh, I'm used to it. I still have Monday off to show off my skills on the grills.

Taking a trip by train to Seattle... if you're going to the Pax West conference I might see you there, but I won't say hi unless I hear someone holler Beeeeeeehawwwwwww really loudly 😆

Work, because I have to get a physics library finished. Next week I really want to focus on preparing for an exposition.
