A lot of these are very American centric, which sometimes upsets me because I lack the culture to properly make a guess, but it's the NYT so I can't blame them
The ones that bother me the most are when the America-centrism makes it not just difficult to get for non-Americans, but literally impossible. Like todayβs relied on knowledge about some American companies. But there have often been other puzzles that relied on you pronouncing a word with an American accent to realise a homophone or rhyme or something. Those are the ones that really bother me.
