I feel we had a ton of those here in the 2010s, then for the past 4 or 5 years there's been a surprising amount of snow. It's still warmer than it used to be though.
Going on walks on frozen sea ice used to be a thing. It was fun walking to islands
The last few winters here have been these miserable cycles of freezing and thawing that leaves everything covered in sheets of ice. Growing up it was common to get snow in October or early November that would last until March/April, that hasn't happened in years though
At least that's the correct weather for this time of year. It was fucking 75 walking around trick or treating in the dark. Nothing like the weather being pleasant out but you can't do shit cus it gets dark at 430.
