I'd watch 7 seasons of Voyager voyaging with Ferrets
I imagine Tuvok constantly complaining about the smell.
and now I can only see him breaking like Agent Smith. "I need to get off this ship. It's the smell"

This would likely deeply trouble Spock's human side. Said weasel is incredibly adorable, yet the smell is terrible and the creature can not be contained and enriched at the same time.
Mr Neelix is a talaxian, not a ferret. Common misconception but it’s considered rude in the 24th century to mis-species someone.
