I would love to see someone give 10000s of US flag blankets to homeless people everywhere
11 0 ReplyI would love to see that a country give homes to the homeless, like Norway does. A fixed address is the basis of everything else for a possible social recovery. Handing out supplies and food from Caritas cannot ever get people off the streets. It is a shame and a failure for any state that wants to call itself first world, to have so many people sleeping on the streets, while they spend billions on military projects and only worry about percentages in the stock market.
13 0 ReplyAll of a sudden, flag laws would be a very hot topic.
You can mess up the colors, cut it into a skull logo stolen from a comic book, but don't dare use it as a blanket, that's just wrong.

Technically because it's on Cuban soil, we can blame Cuba for it.

25 0 ReplyTechnically, we should blame Congress for it.
Obama issued an Executive Order to close Guantanamo Bay in 2009. Congress prevented its closure as a “matter of national security.”
22 0 ReplyObama could have used executive action to shut it down anyways, diverting resources and personnel to pack up and get out.
He just accepted the excuse so he could keep doing what he wanted to: funneling money from the working class to finance.
11 2 ReplyAlso didn't he remove Cuba from the "list of sponsors of terrorism" for a while?

50 0 ReplyWell I'm pretty sure the LLC that owns the prison is under a Cuban person's name
8 0 ReplyBut its a LLC, so they have no liability!
Conclusion: The prisoners did this to themselves. 🤓

They could both be true.
4 12 ReplyYeah, but it would be hypocritical, which is the point the image is making.
17 0 ReplyAnd cows could hold the secret to clean energy, but realistically that's just not the case.
