Trump views illness as a weakness, but he's also willing to wield disease as a weapon to make people weaker, as seen during COVID when he let it fly because he assumed it would ravage blue cities.
There is also the theory that its to create an emergency, any emergency, as an excuse to give himself emergency powers.
These policies are mostly going to hit the right-wing harder. How many industrial chicken farmers are left-wing? How many companies that employ undocumented labor are run by lefties? Again, industrial farming and animal processing, food service, construction... I'm not saying lefties are missing entirely, but you can't tell me that won't hit the right harder. It hurts itself in confusion.
Most things that would trouble the left are already in shambles anyway (public health being probably the one exception I can think of).
