What are your thoughts on The Autopsy of Jane Doe?
Watched this movie last night and thought it was good. I was more interested in what happens than them figuring out what it was because you figure it out long before they do. Spoiler in the comment.
It's been a few years but I liked it. I wonder how good it would be for a rewatch
It reminded me a bit of the movie Last Shift but I'm not sure if it was because it started with people doing their job or because it was limited to only a few sets.
When I was looking for the name of the movie I wasn't sure at first if that was it at first and I had actually just watched a really good dub and didn't notice.
I may have to watch Malum. The thumbnails on IMDB look pretty good
This was pretty much my immediate thought reading the title. I watched it at the beginning if the pandemic and thought that it was a fun little flick, but I wonder how I would feel on a second watch.
I'll have to check out Last Shift. It was on my list a while ago and I never got around to it. I heard relatively good things about it. The director recently "remade" it as Malum (2023), although I heard that Last Shift was better.
Quick edit: I see that another user already pointed out Malum so nvm
I wanted to really like it, and it was a good little movie, but it didn't quite 'wow' me. It wasn't bad by any means, and I liked that it was an original movie (instead of a sequel/reboot), but I guess it just didn't land with me quite right. Respect to the filmmakers though!
At some point I also thought it was all in their head because the clock seemed to be stuck at the same time. Now that I think about it, it also works if everything was in their head and they went sort of Amityville crazy. By the time the sheriff comes, everything is back to normal except for the things they themselves caused. The girl's eyes turned brown near the end, but it's back to cloudy again. I'm curious to see what the coroner's autopsy would have revealed. All the internal stuff that happened to him, or just the stab wound.
