I am sure Minister Herrmann is only defending a health oriented position, which is why he has also proposed to ban alcohol and tobacco products. Especially Bavaria is known for the largest junkie-festival in the world. It is known as "Oktoberfest".

Could it be that this advance stems from counterfactual opinions again?

Keep it legal, sell it and tax it. Boom, new revenue stream. Tag the tax income to go 100 percent into healthcare and elderly care. Solve your issues.

Absolutely myopic idiots. They need all the money they can get and their great idea is to focus on one of the things that could make them loads.

There's pretty much zero chance that cannabis will become illegal again in Germany under a CDU/SPD coalition. This is just hot air from Bavaria.
- Why do you think that? It's a great topic for a culture war. If they need to divert attention from something more important, they'll bring that up and that may force them to actually do it. It's not like any of those weed-growers would ever vote for them either.
  
  Much more useful to not actually do anything so they can keep bringing it up whenever a distraction is needed.
  
  The CDU has shown that they are not necessarily firm on many of their previous positions from the election campaign, such as the Building Energy Act or the debt brake. I can't imagine them pushing hard on such a minor talking point while they are in a coalition with one of the largest parties in support of the legalization. It's just not worth it.
