I feel safer with F-droid.
I feel like the overlap of people smart enough to install F-droid and dumb enough to install a dodgy adware app has to be pretty small.
Don't underestimate the dumbness of people.
Same, I don't even touch google play anymore, to high a risk of downloading spyware or a virus

Some said the unofficial F-Droid apps are better than the official F-Droid itself.
