Another week, another challenge. It’s my turn to come up with the theme for this week.
Meet Freddy the Fork from Kevin's Cutlery Bonanza, off highway 147 near Jay's Tattoo Parlor! Freddy the Fork loves kiddos and you won't believe how much forkin' fun your kids will have! Make your reservations toooodaaaay!

This week’s theme is "mascots for a brand or item that does not already have a mascot". I want to see some unique mascots for weird or uncommon brands or items with a brief backstory about the character. Show me what you got.

Prompt 'a mascot for product cream 'anusol', face looks photo realistic, agonised and desperate, surrounded by sharp spikes that look like red, sore and swollen conkers'
I had to use the word 'conkers' as Bing Image Creator wouldn't accept 'hemorrhoids' Also I got a lot of 'blocked content' warning messages whilst tinkering with the prompt, until I got suspended for an hour....at which point I thought it best to quit while I was ahead
Also for your viewing pleasure, some alternatives....(non entrys)
Congratulations, you have won! Most votes and definitely the most original mascot. I definitely feel the pain and can see your mascot as the #1 go-to for relief... or maybe pain.
It’s your turn to post the next challenge, looking forward to what it will be!
Description: Meet Pop-Up Pete: the ever-grinning, ever-gleaming mascot of digital disruption. With limbs crafted from the most click-baiting banner ads and a body that's a living, blinking billboard, Pete excels at popping up when least expected—or wanted. His bright eyes are always on the lookout for the next opportunity to leap into your screen space, brandishing deals and offers with relentless cheer. And just when you think you've closed the last of him, there's Pete again, as inevitable as a buffering video on a slow internet day, reminding everyone that no online experience is complete without a little uninvited interruption.
This was a lot fun to make! I used Dall-E for a change because Midjourney is nowhere near as good at precise instructions. Both the image and the description are generated.
Workflow:
My workflow was more of a discussion with ChatGPT, I included my instructions and the different images it made along the way.
Write me a description for Pop-Up Pete, annoying mascot for online ads Pop-Up Pete is the embodiment of digital interruption. With a screen for a body and a myriad of colorful, flashing buttons, Pete has an over-the-top, gleeful expression as he springs into action. His limbs are banner ads that flutter with every movement, and his eyes gleefully shift looking for the next click. Whenever you're deep in concentration or leisure, there's Pete, popping up uninvited with a deal you can't refuse—or can you? His unpredictable appearances and knack for showing up at the most inconvenient times make him the perfect mascot for the frustration of online advertisements.
Can you create an image of him?
That's great, can you turn him into more of a comic style?
It's a bit too much and you lose the PC style of Pop-Up Pete. Could you redraw it again in a toon style? I think we're close to a winner though
That's great, can you add some of the ads again? They're missing now.
Can you rewrite his description based on the first image? Please retain the style of introduction of this annoying mascot in the first draft. Make sure to remind everyone how irritating and annoying he is. Meet Pop-Up Pete: the ever-grinning, ever-gleaming mascot of digital disruption. It's the HarroweD LoRA that makes the text look good. It doesn't always work (often gets the wrong order of letters or adds extra letters or misses some haha) but when it does it's fantastic.
@DallE@lemmings.world A mascot for an imaginary company called "Snake Oil". The mascot is a sleazy looking man in a slightly worn-out suit holding a bottle of snake oil.
The AI model has revised your prompt: Create an image of a mascot for an imaginary company called 'Snake Oil'. The figure is a middle-aged Hispanic man with a cunning look in his eyes. He's dressed in a slightly worn-out suit, giving off a somewhat deceptive appearance. He cradles a glass bottle labeled 'Snake Oil' in his hands, showing it off as if it's the answer to all ailments. The background is a typical sales environment, maybe a public market or a street corner, to further emphasize the sly nature of their trade.
