Every single time there is a “badass woman” fighter character, especially in space/bounty hunting/an apocalyptic future, she looks just like this. This haircut, this face, neck tattoo, etc. it gives her a reason for being fit/skinny with huge boobs and to wear torn clothing that’s always torn to show a little cleavage and midriff.
It's a haircut that retains traditional views of feminity but incorporates the functionality of a military buzz cut. It makes a lot of sense for anyone who might have to wear a helmet but doesn't want to chop it all because of their own aesthetics of just the time investment of having grown long hair. The maid of honor at my wedding had this haircut, and a few women I work with rock it as well.
It’s kind of a sideways femullet. Business on one, maybe two sides, party on the top.

No. It combines the worst of both worlds: the ugly military buzz cut and the untacticool long hair that are relics of 2010. The practical feminine-combat heroine wields a bob cut.

FWIW, this is a pretty subjective statement. I'd say a bob cut is pretty unattractive, or at least moreso than OP's picture, but that's just me.
Both are super cute.
Buzzcut has a good helping of IDGAF to it and when people say that you generally shouldn't press. With fucks given I'd say the pixie cut reigns supreme when it comes to practicality, though. Bobcuts can easily look Kareny.
