Themes are also locked behind nitro. Discord's latest innovation: charging people for simple css files that could be freely distributed and shared among users.
It's funny, a website used to have dedicated forums and then they switched to discord. I said "Bet not even 2 months later the place will go to shit" and then they did. The problem with discord servers is that there's no accountability and banning users doesn't only stop them from speaking but also locks them out entirely. Naturally, the mods go power hungry and ban everyone who disagrees with them and because only people who are on board get to stay around, it leads to a culture of people who are scared to speak out.
The only abusive thing discord doesn't let them do is edit other people's comments, but that's hardly saying much because all they have to do is right click "delete" and it's gone forever. No record, no trace. Nothing. Not even law enforcement. It was as if they were never there.
It's because that literally happened. Someone was going on about how evil discord was for running their crypto scheme and how they were never going to see a dime from them then the day later after the sale they were posting emojis at me.
Okay as a colourblind person what the fuck is "blurple"!? Isn't purple with blue added just a different shade of purple!? Or indigo (whatever the fuck that is)? Anything beyond red orange yellow green blue purple (fuck indigo/violet) is made up
and the only ones whose corresponding wavelength ranges are directly detected by our eyes are ~red, ~green, and ~blue
take it from someone who this year failed a color vision test so spectacularly that the doctor asked him 'so do you just see in black and white?': let people like things
even fake as fuck shades of color that we KNOW THEY'RE JUST MAKING UP to mess with us
