Basically the title. I am trying to get away from Google so only using clients for youtube and youtube music on my phone but i haven't found any client for youtube music yet.
Moosync is great, it supports youtube music (which can be proxied through invidious/piped if you enable the setting), soundcloud, tidal, spotify and a bunch of music sources in one app.
Just downloaded moosync, loving it so far but there's is only one issue with it whenever i search for my playlist it's showing me that there are no songs in it but the arts works are visible and it is public bc i have added the same playlist in vimusic. And i have also tried adding other playlist which are not mine and still it's showing zero songs.
Personally I consider the best alternative is Spotify, and I know, it's a telemetry and tracker nightmare but you don't necessarily need to create an account using your main email, you can use a temporary email exclusively for your spotify account.
Personally, I used ViMusic and Moosync for a long time but then I really considered that at the end of the day I'm depending on Google and I'm giving my information to Google even though I'm using a front-end, which is not even a proxy, it's Google.
In this case I consider that fragmentation is better, Spotify can't recognize me from other services and I give less information to Google.
I have tried spotify but i just think youtube music is better bc sometimes there are versions of songs which are available in video only and you can listen to those songs in yt music.
If you are on windows, Windows Subsystem for Android works great, I downloaded the APK file and it works, can import/export my playlists with my android ViMusic as a sort of sync between the two
