More variety for formal wear. I hate that women get to express themselves more elaborately and I get to pick what color my tie is.
- If you're really lucky, they might throw in a vest...With a subtle design! But honestly, I can see where you're coming from.
- I will admit sometimes it's nice knowing what's expected.
  
  Why is something expected in the first place?
  The whole assumption that a person is more professional because they chose the professional uniform is absolutely stupid. If Donald Trump, Hitler, MLK, Putin, and your friendly neighborhood lawyer wear the same outfit, then that outfit says nothing.

  Underrated? It's my favorite part! An Indian friend of mine got married 10 years ago. I still have very fond memories of it! It was beautiful and so much fun!
- You beat me to it! More colour, more designs, more accessories. I like wearing a suit, but women just have so many more fun designs.

We should replace all of men's (pointlessly tight and uncomfortable) formal attire with loose-fitting, Qing dynasty-style robes.

I'm not a dude, but I think guys should embrace the purse( or manbag if you prefer). I love carrying all my shit with me.
- Hmm, I feel like the unisex backpack/slingbag may be what more folks are converging on. Purses increasingly only make sense for formal occasions, imo. Regardless, whatever one calls them, I tend to agree!
  Plus, if cargo pants are so loathed, only makes sense to make some kinda bag to lug odds & ends the norm.
  
  I bought a sling backpack a few years ago and love it. I wanted to carry my keys, phone charger, wallet, cell phone, extra batteries for my hearing aid, band-aids, tissues, etc, but pockets only give you so much storage. Cram them full of too much stuff and they tend to bulge in very unsightly ways.
  With my sling, I can carry everything I need without stuffing my pockets. It's very convenient.
  The only downside is that my wife insists on calling it my "purse." Why can't men carry around a bag to contain things? Women get purses. Why are men confined to whatever we can cram into our pockets?
  
  Yeah, the unisex bag is fine. Timbuk2 messenger bags have been my go-to for years. I'm not sure I even own an actual purse! 😂
- We've been that way in UK for a while now! It's very common in Europe too. People of all genders carry tote bags or wear cross body bags!
- Why do you think we have cargo pants? Why carry around a heavy thing when you can distribute the weight between a bunch of pockets.
  
  My guy, have you tried carrying a power bank in the leg pocket of your cargos?! It is far less comfortable than having it in a cross body bag or fanny pack

Ill probably be judged, but honestly more skin, more tightness, etc.
Women can wear tight ass dresses or wear outfits that question why are they not just naked at that point, while men have long ass shorts.
I want to see men in leggings, crop tops, bikinis/thongs (were appropriate)

Make skirts and dresses socially acceptable for men! They look so comfy.

I'd love to see men have more freedom to personalise their fashion with colour and cut. As it is, men's fashion tends to be cookie cutter with the odd personal flourish, and it should be more than that
- I'd agree but I was at a wedding this summer and one guy wore a romper, so I'm no longer sure we should be trusted with that much fashion freedom.

- I don't care if they are cool or not. I'm wearing them. I'm married and have kids, cool means nothing to me.

  Really though, isn't this kind of the overpowered win over women's fashion? They may not be "cool" but they maximize pockets while letting you stay cool.
- Be the change you want to see in the world. Cargo pants are great. They carry my CARGO. Best thing to make the leap from military to civilian clothing in the last thirty years.
- They're cool. I'm not sure how I'd carry modern massive phones without cargo pockets.

  Asking bc I always found them super uncomfortable, esp if I use those pockets for anything with a little weight. Even something like a kids pacifier would annoy me rubbing against my thigh/knee so I realize they’re just not for me but just curious

  Can’t stand them personally either. Decided to start wearing shorts that stop above my knee and I’m so much more comfortable and look a lot nicer too. Wife loves them. Nothing else really matters.
- Cargo pants are back in a pretty big way, as we go into hotter months cargo shorts are definitely following!

  The Saudi robe game seems pretty solid.
- I've worn a few kilts. They're way less comfortable than you'd expect, and then you need to manage your stupid clothes whenever you sit down.
  But sporrans and sock knives are awesome.
  
  Kilts are usually made out of pretty rugged material. Imagine a skirt as light as gym shorts.

- I occasionally see guys around here wearing skirts in summer. Not super common though admittedly. Or those harem pants that are really on the line between pants and skirt.

Oh yeah, and why is it that sneakers aren't an acceptable shoe in certain situations? I mean sure, if they are some gaudy fluorescent green shoes, they would look out of place in most work environments. But why is a monochromatic black or brown sneaker any different than a dress shoe?
- People look down on dress sneakers (dress shoes that have comfortable soles) but as long as they are fully brown or black, 90% of people would never notice them.

  In the western US dress sneakers are what office workers wear. They’re a lot more comfortable and the styles are great. Regular dress shoes make you look stuffy and no one out here likes that.
- I like ties. They're not uncomfortable as long as you're wearing your proper size shirt.

I wish I had more opportunities to wear my 3-story-tall armored mechanical exoskeleton with gatling gun arms in public. Just never seem to get invited to the right parties.

Sporrans. Those leather Scottish fannypacks that give you a single pocket when you're wearing a kilt.
They're good for so many reasons:
extra pocket
has a chain, furry leather, and badass tassels
protect your junk from ranged attacks
big enough for wallet, keys, phone

lol I was going to suggest getting rid of what the dude before me said everyone should wear. Most dudes just look the same in their drab, monochrome monkey suits. I don't feel like men have fashion. Just utilitarian clothing that has no personality.
- But not even, modern suits have no utility and are downright inconvenient in warm climates. Suits can burn in hell.
  
  They also don't keep you warm in the winter despite having a jacket involved.

There needs to be more kilts. We need to adopt the kilt as not just a regional thing.
Beyond that, I really wish that boxer briefs were more comfortable. I like the support, but they tend to bunch up if I sit for too long.

Id like to axe suits and from the wardrobe entirely and see what new things pop up. They're boring.

Make thawbs and surongs fashionable in the hot deserts of the USA.

More tight-fitting clothes. Seriously, leggings are so comfy and guys get made fun of if we wear them.
- It gets worse for swimwear. Jammers are seen as something only competitive swimmers wear, while speedos are stereotyped as something only gay men wear.

  It took me a distressing amount of time to locate a swimwear brand that even makes a two to four inch inseam swim trunk. It's Sauvage Swimwear, btw. Pricy, but if you're like me and buy one pair every decade it's worth it.

  Yeah, I wear joggers everyday around the house, even in summer. But there's not a long of tight pants for men besides joggers. Which is a pity, because I had no idea how comfortable tight, stretchable pants and shirts were until my wife started buying them for me. There's just something about them that feels good.
  Plus they show my ass really well, which means my wife is constantly swatting it as I go by.

Money belts are coming back, but not the old style. We're wearing it across the chest, like a bag. They're even making money belts with more of an adjustable belt so that you can use however you want/feel better. Basically, becomes a bag.
I really wish it would be more mainstream. I always wore shorts with more pockets because fuck I didn't like holding shit in my hand. Recently, shorts with pockets haven't really been a thing, so I gave the money belt a chance and I really like its utility. Nothing inside my short pockets anymore.

Suits that actually fit. Does nobody know anymore how a man in a suit is supposed to look? They all think they're so fashionable, instead they look like they walked with a paper suit through a steam bath. Awful.

I'd have men wear more turtlenecks, and tighter jeans. Doesn't need to be TIGHT, just not the insanely baggy styles that have been around for the past 20 years. And turtlenecks... they have the effect of making a guy's shoulders look broader. People underestimate the effect of shoulders on appearance as a whole, in both men and women. If you're a guy with rounded or somewhat narrower shoulders, turtlenecks are your best friend. You can also wear slightly wide-cut t-shirts, or sweaters that have a looser fit at the top or with a logo/detail right underneath where your neck ends.

Make cargo shorts and t shirts illegal. Seriously, you look like a bum wearing that shit. Wear solid color Chinos and sweaters for cold weather, camp collars for warm weather. Stop dressing like mommy picked out your clothes.
- Might be a cultural thing, but after googling what a camp collar is, to me that screams "mum dresses me" far more than a plain black t-shirt

  Which sandals, though? Actually, serious question: I have decade old Tevas that need to be replaced - this weekend, before I goto the shore. Are Tevas passé now? Do o need to get Birkenstocks?
