NY Attorney General asks judge to reject $175 million bond in Donald Trump's civil fraud case
The state attorney general has argued that Donald Trump and his surety company don't have the assets to pay the bond if his appeal fails.
This is taking a ridiculous amount of time. Start taking his stuff already!
He can basically walk up and take a shit on a courts table and they go "we have to deliberate on this for at least 8 months, after which we will give him another chance to take a shit on the court table.".
They are taking so long because they wanna squash his chances for an appeal. They are trying to leave his lawyers without any wiggle room, so that when they appeal, it's just a formality and no substance.
And for now, they have done a pretty good job keeping the case waterproof.
100% anyone else would be in a box down by the river right now.
And even then, he'd appeal.
It's not backed by actual money. It's practically an "IOU" bond. It would be ridiculous if any judge accepted it.
I do not believe he will be having a good week.

I have been let down so many times before. I'm not willing to get my hopes up. They're really trying to get up, but I'm fighting them down.
At least, if/when something does happen, I can be pleasantly surprised instead of infuriatingly shocked.
