And Apple charges $200 for just an additional 8GB of RAM.
Because they get an extra $200 per upgrade to a usable amount, while getting to advertise the lower price. And the low specs force early upgrades for the people who purchase the base model. As always, it's about the money.

Same. It may lack encryption that many look for, but I have accepted that email is too old to ever be truly secure. Most email is either coming from, or going to services provided by big tech companies anyway. I prefer an open, fully standards compliant email service over a locked down service that provides minimal additional security.
Firefox is part of the for-profit Mozilla Corporation. Donations go to the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation. Even though Mozilla Corporation is owned by Mozilla Foundation, donations cannot be transferred to it since it is still legally a for-profit business. The funds donated to Mozilla Foundation are used for advocacy work.

Great! You don’t even need to install any drivers. It just works.
Even as a primarily Android user, I agree. I have tried most music streaming services at this point and Apple Music has been the best for helping me discover music. Most others play it too safe with the algorithm and only play music I already like.
Another plus is Apple Music is one of the last remaining music platforms that is not trying to shove podcasts down my throat.
Here is a link to the video on PeerTube.
Yes. See this post on Mastodon.
The $1600 MacBook Pro only has 8GB of RAM. That is completely unacceptable.
how can I find out if it will run on my old Samsung Galaxy S7?
It won't. GrapheneOS only supports recent Pixel phones.
These are Android games from the Play Store, so even if Google shuts down this Windows support, they likely won't provide refunds because users will still have access to the games on Android devices. They offered refunds for Stadia purchases because the purchased games could not be played anywhere after they shut it down.
The apps on IzzyOnDroid are built by the original developers and likely signed with the same key as the version on Google Play. As a result, Google is able to update them. Apps in the official F-Droid repository are signed by F-Droid. As a result, the keys are different and won't be updated by the version from Google.
So what you're saying is that you want a Proton web browser next? /s

It was Wendover. Sam is also now the chief content officer at Nebula.
That would depend on how soon you plan to upgrade the CPU/MB. If it’s within the next year, then it would be worth getting the best GPU you can afford. Any longer, and I would recommend getting a cheap one now and evaluating your options again when you do upgrade the CPU. Prices for current generation GPUs will likely be lower a year from now, so there is no point paying more now for performance you can’t take advantage of. And there will likely be a new generation of cards within two years.
