Secondo me si, usa pochissime risorse su server
Xitter investors got scammed and there was no way that xitter would be able to pay 1 billion per year in interest. Better having someone else holding the bag
Russia can't even easily annex confining countries with lots of roads and rails, how they would even try to get to Greenland with all those NATO countries in the middle.
China would even need to circumnavigate the Americas to reach it
I feel there's another dictatorship that's more dangerous than those two
Now I understood why a few weeks ago it was said that xitter was back to the old ultra overvalued valuation even with less revenue and less users. Because he found some other idiots to pay for it hoping to hit big when and if does an IPO
I have a question. At page 150 of the European user manual for the Jeep Renegade, it says to change the oil every 30k kilometers (19k miles). (And this applies to most petrol engines sold in the last 5 decades.)
Why in USA it's common to replace the engine oil 4-6 times as often?
What? It wasn't already the same company? Are you telling me that managed to create a useless company with no revenue from his asshole, persuaded idiots to pour billions in this new startup, then used that money to pay the billions in debt that other idiots lent to buy another useless company with no revenue?
IMHO not worth to self host Lemmy, as it will be an inferior experience compared to an active server, where you can discover many new communities and posts
Unless the fun of setting it up
As a customer I hate those "smart" address form as they don't accept my real house number but I need to put the generic one and hope the delivery guy is smart enough to read notes
I work in a e-commerce and the amount of people that forgets the street number is insane.
We send email to ask clarification: no response (probably filtered by the artificial stupidity classification in Gmail, everyone only reads the main category)
We call them to ask clarification: nobody picks up because they assume it's telemarketing
I blame the Google chrome auto fill, because it fills the whole form automatically instead of line by line like on Firefox, so people assume that it's filled correctly while instead the browser decided to omit the street number
When you kill everything that moves, sometimes you might accidentally kill a target too
Only stuff that I noticed after the latest update on my pixel 7 is that notification sounds feel a bit with less bass than before. And possibly the haptics a bit different. But this is after reading someone complaining about that, so it might be a placebo effect on my mind
From an environmental point of view it seems good.
Shipping coal to another continent so they can burn it to boil water and generate electricity saving half penny per kWh is stupid
Can't wait to see a 40 minutes rant on LTT where he will feel betrayed and teach everyone how to use jellyfin
i killed mine by binding double click to turn on the torch on a custom rom lol
imagine me, at 4am, watching the phone at 4am, touching the power button to see what time is it, and accidentally triggering it, panic for everyone lol
i like zipline but i use it for smaller files where download resumability is not a key factor
Exactly, and the way musk and his cronies are insisting for the Italian government to have all the military and gov communications on starlink is extremely concerning. Because the government is not sure on this path (it needs to be approved by the parliament, we're not an absolute monarchy like now in the US) now they're pushing agenda via the most annoying populist, our trump-like krasnov that's more on extreme right than the fascists at power. If Salvini is insisting for the government to have starlink, then it means it can't be trusted.
I never personally used it but there are a lot of posts of people complaining that something is broken because the software is assuming to run on latest and greatest windows 10, especially games and anticheat. There's also a post on Reddit of someone complaining "it doesn't have Windows spotlight, how can I enable it" (the sponsored link ads on the lock screen) but that's a pro, not a con...
I had the same problem with my pixel 3, it had a faulty power button that would keep stuck on pressed and force a reboot
How I "solved" it:
- Use a TPU cover
- Only block the screen with double tap on empty spot on launcher
- Only wake up with double tap on screen
Symptoms that I had:
- If I enabled the emergency mode that sounds alarms when the power button is pressed 5 times in a row very fast, it would accidentally sound the alarm if my finger touched the button
- I could not easily turn on the phone if it was turned off
- The phone would sometimes bootloop until I gently smashed the phone on the side on the corner of a table (to unstuck the button)
- If during the "bootloop", I pressed the volume button, it would go in recovery, which indicates the power button was stuck
- Without the TPU phone cover I could lock the screen with a very very light touch on the power button
I didn't get to ask how much money was required to fix it because shortly after I accidentally dropped it and got green hair lines on the screen, so I just sold it for parts on ebay
2032 is only for iot version that's designed for ATM and similar appliances, missing too many features to be considered a good alternative
An out-of-warranty battery almost left this paralyzed man’s exoskeleton useless
People that bought Resident Evil iOS ports are pissed that now there's a mandatory DRM online check at launch. Punish only the idiot customer who paid $150 and can't play, when pirates laugh at that
Facing “financial crisis,” Russia on pace for lowest launch total in 6 decades
This Italian "newspaper" wanted to depict the "indian heritage" of an US candidate. Chennai, Cherokee, the same.
