When one learn a new language, the 1st thing one should learn is to say is "Help, I'm dying!", instead of a greeting.

You never know when you might need to say "Help, I'm dying" in a foreign country, and the sooner you learn how to say it in the local language, the better your chances of survival are.

However, your chances of survival don't depend on whether you know the local greeting or not, since it's mostly used in a casual conversation, not a life-threatening situation. Therefore, one should 1st learn how to say the phrase "Help, I'm dying", and then learn the greeting.

Why isn't there a separate kingdom for viruses.

There are 5 kingdoms; Kingdom Animalia, Kingdom Plantae, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Minera, and Kingdom Protistae. Why isn't there another one for viruses, since they fit in neither of these kingdoms, due to the lack of DNA?

With how common human-exposure to radiation is becoming, the primary base system might not be base-10 anymore.
  • An increased exposure to radiation something brings one extra fingers, toes, limbs, etc, and since base-10 was useful due to the number of fingers we used to have, which was 10. However, at a certain point of time, the number of people who have 10 fingers will decrease, due to increased exposure to radiation, which might lead to the base-10 system being changed.

  • I believe that there should not be an official app for the Fediverse

It will contribute to the centralization of the Fediverse, which is something that's not good, as competition is required.

One might say that multiple apps will be bad due to them needing to be very complex to suit to everyone.

However, many 3rd-party apps can provide extremely specific experiences, and with enough effort, you can find out what suits you. I'm using Memmy, since it contains the best parts of most of the apps I have used are designed this way. One app does not need to contain everything. In this case, quantity is better than quality.

One might also say that competition will create toxicity as people will pick sides.

I disagree. Nobody ever fought about whether Reddit is Fun or Apollo was better. That's because they both contain different experiences. It's like conparing apples and pranges; there's not point comparing them.

This is why I believe that there should not be an official app for the Fediverse.

One PC screen is more than enough...
  • I've always changed tabs, or at the very most, copy-pasted. I don't use split-screen though, as I find it too overwhelming and cramped for me. I've never found a reason to have 2 monitors.

  • Is the internet healing?
  • That's what I meant. Censorship is mostly impossible unless people act like an idiot and flock to 1 instance only, and even then, the instance can be easily substituted, since you don't need to delete your account to leave the instance; just shift it to another instance.

  • Is the internet healing?

It seems like due to the downfall of Twitter and Reddit, people will be moving to the Fediverse instead, and since there is not much here, people won't be addicted to it anymore.

Additionally, it's open-source and de-centralized as well, which omits censorship. What do you guys think?

Why can't scientists inject horse blood into humans?

So as most of you know, scientists inject germs into horses, since horse blood can easily create a antibody which can then be used to create a type of vaccine.

However, instead of injecting the disease into the horse blood, why can't horse blood be injected into humans? The immune system of the horse can create an antibody for every disease in our body as soon as we get it?

The diseases that horses get can be negated by the horse blood as well, since it is already used to diseases that horses can get.
