People turn off Play Protect?

Where consolidation makes sense it's always good. But part of what makes Lemmy special is that there's multiple communities about different subjects. For example Technology. I don't fuck with the LW community at all, but I'm a regular poster in the BH community and regularly post in the more technical PD community. If all were consolidated it would alienate me as I don't actually wanna deal with a bunch of people that post in the biggest communities. It's also why I subscribe to communities and avoid the ALL feed.

I feel you're making a dangerous assumption where you feel everyone should want to be part of a centralised community and that's not what Lemmy is about. Sometimes smaller communities just wanna be that.

Just shoot a message to one of the moderators and say you'd like to help.

This is why it's important to have an active moderation team. So if you're active and care about this community, consider joining the moderation team to help out.

For an hour we dominated in terms of possession but couldn't do fuck all with it. I know Arteta thinks crossing is a numbers game, but cross merchant teams don't win trophies. We needed something more in order to overwhelm them and Arteta didn't provide that. I know Nwaneri had a stinker but he was still better than Merino. Why not try Trosaard, Sterling, Nwaneri and Martinelli on together for five or ten minutes.

On paper it's a terrible result and in reality it's even worse. They can't buy a result and yet got a point they'll be very happy with from us.
