So happy for and proud of you. You're such a resourceful and smart young person, I'm so glad you'll be out of the incompetent claws of DFFH very soon and you can begin to heal and shine in your own space and place. I look forward to hearing about your new realisations and experiences. One sage bit of advice I had from my psychologist when I was moving was: it's entirely valid not to unpack all at once. Take your time, pace yourself. You have permission to settle in on your own schedule.
I've already used $10 of electricity since the plan was connected 6 days ago π
Well, to be fair only like $1 of that is actual usage. Unfortunately I don't have a choice but pay their $1.50 per day "connection charge" until I can change providers in March. Probably gonna be the second thing I do after turning 18
When I switched accounts from shutjustworks to Aussie zone, someone suggested I was a faku (FakeBaku). Now I kinda feel like a fake adult - all the responsibilities, none of the perks
Btw if anybody wants a rant about the unfairness of being able to pay taxes but unable to vote, you can hit me up any time
Congratulations! So very happy for you, such a huge milestone! May your home be filled with good fortune and happiness. We are always here to help with any and all random questions, look forward to hearing how youβve settled in!
Thanks cakesy, much appreciated! I can tell you that I do not have the energy to unpack at this point in time. I did move a desk into my bedroom and setup my computer, but that's as far as it's going. I feel like I live in an Amazon warehouse with all these boxes!
Wooooooooohooo! This is the best news!! Congratulations!!
Like kitten said below, donβt feel the need to rush into unpacking and getting everything perfect straight away. Savour the feeling of independence and enjoy it!
