I agree, this is why we should throw out this whole stagnating and rotting system that is only getting worse over time and replace it with something better for the people.
What progress? Wtf progressed during Biden's current presidency? He let Roe v wade be overturned without doing anything about it(unless you consider that crying about it on TV and social media count as "doing something about it"), he let affirmative action be overturned, he continue funding the fucking Trump wall for fuck's sake, there hasn't been any progress under Biden, not even "imperfect" progress as you put it, America IS already stagnating and rotting RIGHT NOW, under Biden.
The Democrat party IS the party of stagnation, since decades now, we have been in a loop of, the Republican get elected, take away some minority rights, the Democrat get elected, don't do anything to revert what the Republican have done, do some performative impotent bullshit instead to calm popular anger caused by the Republican's actions and their inaction, once the outrage has died down the Republican get elected again, take away some more minority right, rince and repeat. They yell loud and clear that they support LGBTQ+ peoples but where were they when LGBTQ+ peoples volunteered by the hundreds to come open carry in front of drag shows to protect attendees and performers from violent far right wreckers? What did they do about the multiples shootings at LGBTQ+ places apart from talking about it on TV and social media? What did they do when literal swastika wearing neo-nazis (the blood tribe) demonstrated in Orlando just 2 hours south of the spot where an other open neo-nazi killed 3 black peoples? In fact, what are they doing about ANY of the openly neo-nazi and openly fascist groups that have openly demonstrated, rallied and displayed their murderous personality cult of an ideology in the streets? NOTHING, that's the answer to all of these questions, they did nothing about any of it, they cried crocodile tears for a little while on TV and social media and did nothing. They are willingly letting the right get away with all of this.
All of the "support" the Democrats give to minorities is PR, they are absolutely full of shit when they say they care about LGBTQ+ peoples, of about any minority for that matter, they will do some performative bullshit there, give some crumbs here, so that peoples who do care vote for them, but as soon as the Republicans start pushing seriously they instantly fold even when THEY are at the helm (again, they let roe v wade and affirmative action get overturned despite Biden, a Democrat, being president at the time) and let the right get what they want, but radlibs will forgive them for that under the guise of "Oh, ThEy WErE oUtVoTeD iT cAn'T bE hElPeD, iT wAsN't ThEiR fAuLt." as if there was nothing they could they done even if that was true, or whatever other bullshit excuse they will come up with.
And Biden's curent term has easily been the worst instance of the Democrats being useful idiots for the right like that. Yet here you all are even after 4 years of this bullshit still telling us that electing the Democrats again will somehow stop the Republicans. That you still cant accept that the Democrats are nothing more than controlled opposition, ok, fair enough, they are pretty good at pretending what they're doing is totally definitely not helping the right, but that you still don't even begin to doubt their ability and/or willingness to protect minorities from the right after 4 years of the most blatant instance of them not doing anything to protect minorities from the right, that is beyond me.
Why are you so blindly confident in Biden and the Democrats in general? Why can't any of you even seem to fathom the possibility of actually taking action with their own damn hands instead of waiting 4 years to vote for MhU LEsSeR eViL and expecting the party who's laterally supporting genocide to somehow give a shit about trans peoples or whoever else and solve the societal problems you care about for you without you having to do anything? What did YOU do to help the minorities you hope the Dems will protect? Did you even do anything beside putting a flag in your social media bio, maybe donating to an org and maybe just MAYBE attending 1 or 2 peaceful protest?
If you truly want to stop what the right is doing, stop relying on the fucking Democrats and start taking action, if there is an organisation fighting for minority rights in your area, join it, if there isn't gather some peoples and crate one, if your state pass a law that allow the police to harass LGBTQ+ folks or whoever else, start monitoring them, film as many of their actions as you can, sabotage any discriminatory operation they might be performing, get ressources to impeach their ability to perform such action, jam their communications, block roads, maybe buy and learn how to use a firearm just in case, learn how to make smoke bombs, whatever as long as it's effective, if you see far right-wingers demonstrating in public places, kick them out of there, work to make your city as unfriendly and unwelcoming to the right as possible, if there is an antifa branch where you are, join it, maybe join those peoples who open cary in front of drag show to protect them from right wingers I mentioned earlier too, protest too of course, but forget peaceful protests, not only that wont do anything but you'd just get crushed without mercy, you need to scare shitless whoever is in charge about what might happen to them if they don't give at least some concessions, that's how you secure rights for minorities, that's how ALL successful minorities rights movement has done it.
TL;DR: stop simping for impotent grifters like the democrats and start taking actual actions.
