I'd bet my entire life savings (about $3) that a bunch of hogs made a concentrated effort to get the Blood Libel Game(TM) nominated. There's no chance it wins against BG or LC but its still bizarre to see
also Starfield got a nom for "Most Innovative Gameplay"
I've been wondering the same. Like the choices in many categories are aweful. Beyond just the potterheads. I've never heard of leathal company before so why is it in so many nominations? Why are there carbin copy sports games in there? And that's the best nominees for the Steam Deck? Just very odd stuff.
Edit - Lethal Company "came out" in OCT. and it's in EARLY ACCESS which IMO should disqualify it from being nominated as the game isn't really out yet. I've blocked Early Access games on principal. I'm not going to pay a company to beta test their junk.
Most innovative gameplay doesnxt have anything really innovative.
The pizza thing was in there so thats something. But the selections in general have me...
A few of my favorite streamers have been playing it recently and i find myself wondering what the engagement is. Im very bored. But i guess thats as a watcher not a player.
Ive played some pretty good shit thats technically still in Early Access. A lot of them are pretty far along the road and probably could be released but just want to add more idk
