I don't think he's really doing anything to appease critics. He's not doing bad, he's just not doing well either. I'm sure the "Vice President Trump" bit will make its way around pretty quick.
He did alright. Alright isn't enough. He needed a homerun to unfuck this, and he hit a single. I think from here on out, Biden is a detriment to the party ticket. If he stays in, our fight becomes much harder.
Well, that started very bad, got a bit better in the middle, and then fell apart at the end. What I'm worried about is that he did just well enough to convince himself not to drop out. I doubt anyone feels much better after that though.
This is like, actually the worst answer he's given in the conference. Like, dude, you are polling in the 30s. Don't bring up the polling if you are trying to make your case. Whatever you do pretend the polling doesn't exist.
Biden: No ones saying that.
Bruh. Everyones saying that. Fuck he fumbled ENTIRELY on the final question. That went from minor win/ good to.. fucking disaster in that last minute.
Well that was fun. Every body stand up and stay standing for at least 5 minutes.
Walk around the house, go to the yard, whatever; get your heart pumping blood.
It will be time to return to our regular doom posting shortly, but in the mean time, look out for yourselves kings and queens: Its your health that matters.
I dunno why people are so die hard for Biden to stay in the race. Most of those people will vote for whoever runs against Trump. I don't care who they put up, I am voting for them, but if we put up someone who is clear, coherent and younger, I suspect it will attract a better turn out.
This must be so weird for NATO officials in the room. The future of NATO hinges in him... and it really has nothing to do with the message he conveys, but how he says it.
Is it better for NATO if he flubs it, and gets another candidate in? Worse? shrug
I gave Biden a pass for the "Doing the goodest job" flub during the ABC News interview, because how do you answer that question on the spot without sounding like a nihilist? Obviously, he should have said that trust in the system is important and that checks and balances will still be a thing even if he doesn't win, but he opted for the feel-good sentiment of "At least we tried our best!".
But for this? The question was "Trump is already tweeting about you mixing up Vice President Harris with his name and citing it as evidence that you are not fit for office. How do you respond to that?" and he says listen to him. WTF man. Biden is his own worst enemy right now. He could have walked off stage and said nothing.
Media is seething rn. They wanted Biden to break down and start sobbing on stage. He basically told them they were stupid for running a major story about a minor flub this afternoon.
They are mad that Biden turned their accusations into a boring press conference about NATO and his accomplishments.
First Time I hear about Hamas using Ballistic missiles. Boy they leveled up pretty quickly. maybe Biden should outsource missile manufacturing to them, US will be cutting billion of dollars in R&D.
Biden looked ok he made joke got mad about gun violence took shots at trump still needs to do more but this is a decent first step to show he can actually win
