Don't give them ideas. The only silver lining to a possible second Trump term is his staggering incompetence. He drops out and they replace him with someone just as evil, but more capable.
Same name, same zip code, allegedly different person. I haven't seen any updates on the allegedly bit, but all signs point to that kid being anti-dem his whole life. (My assumption is a joke/insult donation in his name...source: I have done this to people and sent them the receipt.)
My take though is that it was ~4 years ago- he was 17. My politics between 17 and 20 did a 180 so I don't see it as any damning evidence of his political affiliation.
They looked at his search history and he also was looking up Biden and other politicians of different political affiliation- this is just conjecture but he may have chosen Trump merely because he was the easiest to get to. The kid was angry at the world and wanted to kill someone in power.
The only thing we know for sure, is that we don't know and can't know the whole truth. It died with him. That take generally too scary for most people to accept, so any explanation gives us comfort.
Same name, same street address, but the city listed on the donation was wrong. It was listed as Pittsburgh instead of New Bethel, PA. But the street address does not exist in Pittsburgh.
That doesn’t say much. He was probably invited to a political fundraiser and he likes to flash his cash. I’ll bet he donated to plenty of republicans before 2016
It's sad though. He doesn't remember it because his mind is so far gone. I think the media needs to call for a few press conferences where they ask him pointed questions about it until he flubs a few words. Then they should ask him more questions about what he just said.
Recall that his family and the Clintons, before the 2016 run, used to be very close friends.
To the point that Bill Clinton and him have both admitted to having a several hours long phone call shortly prior to him running for the GOP primary, but they both "swear politics never came up".
She should donate money in that amount to a woman's shelter and say she doesn't want it, and "this is now the only beneficial thing Trump has ever done for women."
But Harris did not keep the $6,000 from Trump. A spokesperson told the Sacramento Bee in 2020 that she donated the money to a "nonprofit that advocates for civil and human rights for Central Americans" in 2015, by which point she had been reelected and was launching her bid for the Senate.
