Why do right-wing influencers think Haitian immigrants in Ohio are eating people's pets?

Prominent conservatives are blaming recent immigration from Haiti after a woman in Ohio was arrested for allegedly eating a cat.

The only problem? The woman has lived in America for the past six years.

The allegations arose over the weekend after right-wing users on social media discovered that a 27-year-old woman was charged last month with injuring animals, prohibitions concerning companion animals, and disorderly conduct.

The woman, Canton resident Allexis Telia Ferrell, reportedly “stomped on the cat’s head to kill the animal before eating it in a residential area in front of multiple people” on Aug. 16, according to Fox News.

thats it. theyll take any seedy story that happens to highlight a minority and boost it up as if its happening on every street corner. cuz racism.
- I remember an interesting story about immigrants coming up from Central America for jobs in meat processing plants.
  The area was a typical republican stronghold of small town America.
  Anyhow, the story was mostly an interview with the Sheriff in the area, who had to deal with constant reports of “demonic sacrifice” because the immigrants raised goats and slaughtered them- like they always had done.
  Which, there sheriff’s tone was “this is all very awkward and it’s stupid that we have to deal with this.” He made a point that it was all legal and “ now within code,” (guessing there was some building code type stuff,)
  In any case I found it odd that he didn’t mention that demonic sacrifice wasn’t illegal either.
  In any case, people will believe all sorts of bullshit about “others”.

Racism.

This certainly does sound unusual, but having grown up and lived in rural conservative places essentially my entire middle aged life, white locals seem to tolerate a lot of animal abuse that is "executed" by their own. And nothing, or very little, is said 😿 Lots of stories of what happened to trailer park cats.

Humans are so strange. They will eat an adorable cow, but condemn eating an adorable cat. Meanwhile they allow their own kind to commit atrocities against other humans without blinking an eye.

To be fair to Charlie Kirk, he tried to eat a cat as well but couldn't because of his widdle mouf... so technically he never ate a cat (as far as we know publicly).

Why does her living in the US for six years change anything? That doesn't debunk the claims made by the right. If anything it bolsters them because it shows a lack of integration even after so long.
Also instead of attacking the right about every news story isn't it important to anyone to actually talk about the real and genuine problems here? Avoiding actual issues might help dunk on the right in our lefty clunhuts but it doesn't fix anything or help anyone and it just makes the right more popular
