I recently saw one PAINTED matte chalk WHITE! The bevels (idk what else to call them, the space between the panels) as still very clearly stainless steel though so it was a steel outline and then BLINDING WHITE
It looked god awful, but was unfortunately in the incoming and thus gone before I could risk mine and everyone around me's lives for internet points (though it would have been an honorable death we can all admit)
Yeah, we have a few in our town, and most of them have a custom paint/sticker job it seems. My kids think they're cool, I think they look stupid and are too expensive to be practical in any way.
There are two in my neighborhood! They park across the street from each other.
Frigidaire makes trash HVAC equipment and the company is so poorly managed in surprised they don't just call themselves Maytag at this point

I just threw away a Frigidaire window unit that looked really cool but it barely worked after 2 years and they just deleted it from their smart control app - like straight up removed it as I was using it and was like “oh so sorry not supported anymore!”
I own a microwave by them and I am looking to replace it now, even though it works reasonably well. Fuck Frigidaire right in their stupid fucking asses.
I wouldn't go buy a new microwave just to spite the brand. For one, Frigidaire isn't significantly less reliable than the other major appliance brands - they have noticeably worse "fit and finish" in their build quality (I don't think I've ever seen a Frigidaire Pro badge that was on straight, ever. Their french door freezer doors will not line up with even perfectly adjusted fridge section doors. etc.) but also typically a lower price point. Just about all appliance companies make some shit-boxes - from stats I've tracked at work, the common consumer brands in the US have roughly 10% failure rate for the first year, and about 30% failure rate over 5 years. Those rates stay pretty consistent between brands (as soon as someone looks like they are going to upset the balance, they release a fancy new design for an ice maker or something that just shits all over the bed and has to be 'service-bulletin'ed to consumer reports hell and the stats wander back into line).
Basically, if the thing is working now, I'd keep it until either it doesn't work or you just really want/need some feature it doesn't have. Buying a new appliance is just going to be giving money to a different-but-still-shitty brand.
Frigidaire is such massive, steaming, flaming shit. I got a brand new refrigerator of theirs back in 2014. Wanted name brand so I skipped the Hotpoint Huge mistake.
Turns out Hotpoint isn't so bad, but Frigidaire is designed to fall apart in months. After six months, both door handles and the rail that supports the crisper drawer broke clean off. Replaced the rail only because the other stuff was not essential. The rail was a thin flimsy POS. And it cost a fortune. Broke again six months later. I just set the drawer on a shelf and never worried about it ever again.

Try working with them...I was a technical advisor for my company certified by Nortek to fix their problems on site. Every 9 out of 10 furnaces I worked on had cold solder joints on their control board.
Reported it and brought about 20 boards with me to st Louis to physically show them instead of all the pictures.
I was told I'm. Ot am engineer, and don't look to far into things. Replace the board and move on
I was flabbergasted that they didn't care they had a serious quality issue. Then we ran into every furnace having leaking heat exchangers because they can't mold metals properly. Another HUGE issue that never got resolved. Check fixes with bebt metal clips to prop the sagging heat exchanger. Terrible fix that didn't even work
I love how much shade this throws at Maytag - the brand that will always be the best in the eyes of idiot boomers no matter how obviously trash they become.

Man I really feel like I am part of the like 1% of people who think the cyber truck looks super cool. I understand it's a POS but it just looks so cool to me. I would put bright yellow EL Wire on all the angles to make it more cyberpunk looking. God I wish this car and the company didn't suck.
I like that it's different and not just "Super Generic Truck 2024 Edition". Remember the Plymouth Prowlar? That thing was wacky looking and I think it only came in purple. I'm paraphrasing the commercial but it went something like: "It's not for everyone, is it?" "That's kinda the point." I LIKE that.
When you try to make something for everyone, you end up making it for no one.
But damn if the Cyber truck isn't a huge piece of shit made by a horrible company which ruins any positivity it might otherwise have.
I honestly really don't get it. My first thought at normal SUVs is already "wow, that is so ugly, why would anyone buy that?" and the cybertruck is to SUVs like those are to regular cars.
I 100% agree. I hate SUVs and I honestly don't understand why they're so popular. I also think trucks look dumb and I hate driving and riding in them. A cybertruck is a bad mix of both SUVs and trucks.
And I'm tall, so I should like SUVs and trucks from what I understand, but I honestly prefer small sedans and sports cars. We have a sedan and a minivan (have 3 kids), and my wife and I both want to downsize the minivan because we just don't like sitting up that high.
My personal take on the cybertruck is that it actually looks rad as hell but Elon is a psycho and it's a terrible vehicle.
I've heard so many horror stories about getting tesla repaired.

I’m going to get my deposit back for the CT, I still think it’s cool but I don’t think it will ever be sold in Europe and Musk has just ruined the reputation of Tesla. I’m also looking for a home battery and although the Powerwall 3 looks great, I’m going to try and find an alternative, just because of Elon.
What makes them look really bad to me is the matte metal look. Very industrial kitchen.

Same here, I have always thought it looks neat and wanted one but it sucks that they're made poorly and have so many issues. I really feel like a lot of people just hate on it cause it's popular to do and elon bad (not that I'm a big elon fan) oh well

Yep. I'd never buy it since that would support Tesla, and I would never buy because it has lots of issues. But I love how it looks. I wish some other company borrows the style and makes an actually good car with it.
There’s one in town with a black wrap with reflective blue 2 inch stripes on all the edges. Looks wonderfully Tron styled. But for me nothing will hide the god awful shape of it. Looks like a 6yo drew a Pontiac Aztec on graph paper. One thing I really do like is the style of the tires. Apparently the rubber is shit and they only last a few thousand miles, but I dig the blocky knobs around the outside. I wonder the CTs will look with a normal tire since I doubt owners are going to pay a premium for those POSs
