I completely misread the title as “jimmy carter voted ‘thanks’ to the GOP’s least favorite law”. Which is very confusing
EDIT: Downvoted by people that didn't read the article and listen to the interview. His grandson specifically said that President Carter sees his responsibility as a citizen to be a greater privilege than that of holding office.
