That name sounds like a stage name. You might want to consider something with a little less illiteration. And maybe I'm out of touch but a more typical first name maybe? "Vibia" sounds like a name that would have gotten made fun of in school when I was a kid. A lot. I tend to view names through that lens; even though I was bullied for other reasons. So while obviously you're not a kid in school, if you think about the life trajectory of somebody with a more unorthodox name, it might not be the best choice for you.
Ultimately though, it's your life, do what you want. My opinion is just my opinion and my suggestion is only that; a suggestion from some random guy on the internet.
I dont have a problem with it sounding like artistic or a stage name. In fact would be amazing to sign the things I write with that name. So it can be my chosen and artistic name.
And im 25 so lucky for me cant be bullied in school lol.
And typical names are boring. Good luck im not having kids so I dont get to name them.
I really like the first name! It's cute, it intuitively feels like a name while still being unorthodox and eye-catching, plus it reads Hispanic to me.
I will admit I kinda agree with another commenter that the alliteration gives off stage name vibes (Vibia Valentine would be a pretty good drag name), but if you vibe with that, you do you, Vibia! :)
Your name is so cool Vibia! I love the backstory, makes it even cooler. Btw do you prefer to be referred to by both your names or is Valentine your middle name?
Hey Vibia, you have a pretty name (tho autocorrect thinks it's Bianca or Vivian). FYI, if you have another name to try out, !mtf@lemmy.blahaj.zone could be a good place for that. There's sadly no !trans_tryouts yet.
I thought Vibia Valentine was breaking the rules with their post here, but apparently there's no "this is a meme sub for memes" rule here, so she's not going to make the mods sad or anything.
Edit: ooh, found it. Rule 6. (Oops, spoke too soon.)
Btw, Vibia, do you think you can add a transcription as alt text to your image? (If it lets you edit it in.)
