Glad I live in a place that doesn’t get so cold. I don’t understand family who put up with that shit. I guess if you haven’t spent years not freezing your ass off, it just seems normal.
Great photo, btw.
I’d rather be cold than hot because I’m not allowed to walk around naked and don’t have liquid cooled undergarments.
So much this. You can be warm in the cold with adequate clothing. You cannot be cool in the heat.
I'd rather not have to scrape ice of my windshield and have about one month of hot days (lucky enough to have AC at home, which isn't common in the bay area).
Why wouldn't you be allowed to walk around naked?
In my experience, people who complain about the cold can't handle any temperature other than 70 degrees and complain relentlessly whenever it drifts away from that. You can stay whenever you are, just leaves more Ohio for me.
As somebody who has had multiple family members move to Florida, I'm totally with you. Also, my spouse is from Florida and his family is no different despite having lived there for decades. They just can't handle weather.
70 is too cold I prefer 85+ try going to Phoenix on a 70 day every one is wearing jackets I have lived in deserts my entire life and am used to it being over 100 most of the year
I lived in Kansas before living here, so I was used to brutally cold winters. I thought everyone complaining about mildly cold weather once I got here was insane. After more than twenty years, I have become fully acclimated to the idea that it's insane not to prefer more mild weather.
I cant stand above 70, im in the part of ohio with a yearly temp range of -20 f to 115 f. Hate it.
/laughs in -40 C or F? Doesn't matter!
I once lived in a place that never snowed. I hated it... There were no seasons, or changes, or well... Anything. You don't know what you're missing until you have to live in a place for a long time.
Imagine always being hot. Never cold... Can you? Go try that out for a while... Seasons are a gift.
I live in a place that has mild seasons as opposed to none. That's the best. We drove to Lake Tahoe to appreciate snow for a few days. We could go south for warm beaches if we wanted, but that doesn't appeal to me. Best climate.
TIL cargo ships go to Ohio.
Great lakes life. Ganted, there are way fewer cargo ships than saltwater ports, but it's hard to beat a big ship for cheaply moving goods/raw materials around.
You know, I always forget that Ohio is part of the Great Lakes region. I don't know why.
That man was a real treasure
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
Is it weird that I kinda want to live in that little house?
It's all fun and games until a storm comes in and you are trapped there for 6 months with a crazy drunk.
Nope, could be very cozy
