2025 Year of the Linux Desktop.
Not so fast, we still need a complete accessibility protocol on wayland, and wine/proton need to be running wayland natively.
Then we've really won.
(also we need to get enough users that anticheating linux stops)
- Did you miss it? Wine already has wayland support
  
  Not enabled by default for good reasons.
- Don't forget about all these color management stuff being baked into gimp, Krista and Inkscape.

I have waited so, so long. Recently color profile support (ICC) was merged & upstreamed to many repos so I finally reswitched back to Wayland since my colors are no longer broken on my displays.

Weston implementation seems still in progress:
