Yemeni shopkeeper during US bombing.
Yemeni shopkeeper during US bombing.
Yemeni shopkeeper during US bombing.
It's sad that civilians and people who have done nothing wrong are going through this.
A man has to comfort his son and be ready to accept that he and his son could be hit because * checks notes* - Ah, yes, for "peace."
It's for sure that young man won't remember this moment of terror and live his life accordingly.
At first, I was like "that geezer is hard as fuck, seen more shit than one dude should ever see, and is sat there totally chill"...
...and then his lad started crying and felt the complete opposite.
That poor kid has been traumatised for years and did fuck all to deserve it.
👎
That's the thing though, there is nowhere to go. You can't run away from bombing because you don't know where the next one will fall. You're just as likely to run to the next target as away from it.
You just get to sit there, hoping that if you don't survive it's because you got killed instantly instead of being trapped and crushed by rubble waiting until you dehydrate to death over a few days.
Yeah. He's just not reacting because there's no reason to be over the top. It doesn't mean he's not alert or he doesn't care. He just doesn't see anything to do except comfort the kid and keep him calm until it's over, one way or another.
💔
He’s a good dad. I hope someone tells him that. He deserves some positive praise right now.
My boss had a similar mentality, a stranger on a plane next to him was freaking out because of turbulence on descent, my boss says to him "why are you panicking, either we land and you've freaked out for nothing, or we crash and we aren't around to freak out."
He was made of a different cloth. Rest in peace and please don't be around judging my lack of productivity since you've departed.
That trauma doesn't go away.
If you can hear it falling, you're ok...
I dunno man. I think if you were to ask that young lad in ten weeks; ten months; ten years...
Fuck man, as a father this hits hard. At first I thought how is he so chill, maybe this happens all the time. Then when the kid appears and is so distraught.. shit
That father reacted like the kid when he was younger.
They've been regularly bombed using American and British bombs for a decade or so, via Saudi Arabian planes, so the big difference is that this time around the Americans haven't used a middlemen which you really can't tell from below.
This probably explains the father's reaction.
This is how you create terrorists.
Point of fact: the US are the terrorists here. 👊 🇺🇸 🔥
🌍🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
Pretty undeniable
Always have been.
This is one of the most humanizing videos I've seen.
Fucking tragic.
I yearn for the day when violence isn't a fundamental part of the human soul. Whatever political ideology leads to this, it can't be worth it can it?
Well, at the current rate, our extinction isn't far off, so you might get to live to see that day!
We're bombing you because you told a friend of ours to stop bombing your friends who can't defend themselves.
We're bombing you because we want peace.
War crime documented.
Your move now Hague.
Hague seems to take years to do something; but i sure hope they will find a certain punishment eventually.
Terrifying.
Poor kid...
This is sad as fuck people sometimes have nowhere to go
I wonder how many majors, sergeants and generals to cause a civil war that forces people to pick sides
