I think it has an agenda, even if it isn't a terrible agenda, it is still an agenda. I won't tell anyone how to make their own games, but I personally think games should be open and give the player the ability to choose their own alignments. We have that capability and I think it would make games better, but studios don't wanna do that. That's why games are better than other types of media: choice.
That's funny because you have the choice to not play this or any other game. You also have the choice to go make your own game if you don't like how someone else has made theirs. You have a lot of choices. You can choose if you want to look at this picture of a pig shitting on it's balls or not. I bet you'll look
The game is undeniably fun to play, but many games tend to have agendas behind them, even if these aren't necessarily negative ones. In terms of Sony, the company isn't particularly known for its moral stance, and they choose to include content based on what is popular or mainstream at any given time. If the N-word were mainstream, it'd probably be included in the game.

Even whining about "agendas" is an agenda. Your agenda. Demanding that things somehow not have an "agenda" as you see it is just whining for a status quo that is so numbingly comfortable that you don't notice it in your bubble world.

Whiny "nonpolitical no agenda just give me choice" nerds like you trying very hard not to think of something racist for more than 5 minutes:
Wow. You just discovered what capitalism is. Congratulations. I know you people always recommend “basic economics” to leftists but I’m glad you finally had the time to read about it.
I think it has an agenda, even if it isn't a terrible agenda, it is still an agenda. I won't tell anyone how to write their own novels, but I personally think novels should be open and give the reader the ability to choose their own alignments. We have that capability and I think it would make novels better, but writers don't wanna do that. That's why novels are better than other types of media: choice.
you clearly have the media literacy of a brick wall, and i don't plan to educate you on the thought-terminating disinterest of reducing video games to narrative choice. like are you fucking daft, or are you too much of STEMlord to actually understand how narrative works? in short, i don't care about your nonsense assertions, you are like this pig shitting on its testicles
As usual the "nonpolitical" whiner's own politics are unspoken but obvious status quo assertions and anything that makes them feel vaguely uncomfortable is an unfair tyrannical woke narrative.
I didn't bring up their motivations for their agenda, only that it existed. This says more about you than me. I have no problem with the game. I like it.
I didn't bring up their motivations for their agenda, only that it existed. This says more about you than me. I have no problem with the game. I like it. Just a preference.
your preference is for what, exactly, you stupid fuck? what exactly do you think you're educating us on here? that media implicitly represents some set of social norms or that a giant corporation makes a game that is calculated to the be the most profitable for the intended demographic? do you think that people are making fun of you because we don't understand that? we're bullying the shit out of you because all the art has an agenda, it's called all the content ever made, dumbass
Smug and dense "nonpolitical" liberals try to respond to hostility without implying their opponents are mentally ill challenge. Difficulty level: IMPOSSIBLE
So you're already a fucking moron who needs his little computerized bubble to actually have an even mildly useful thought that wasn't already 90% pre-coded for you. Got it.

I know where this goes. Your type tend to want to do some grimdark murderfucking in, say, a Spider-Man game and want that to be recognized and rewarded because you're the most special Main Character.
No. Fuck you. Just write some one-handed edgy prompts in AI Dungeon. I hear premium's pretty cheap these days.
People used to pay me for grimdark murderfucking spiderman short stories. Im very glad these people exist, paying me 300 dollars for a 1000 word short story.

Why does ever game need to be some open world RPG bullshit? Why can’t you have a fixed story and a character with a fixed set of choices and beliefs? And even then, game devs will cater to you nerds with MUH CHOICES!!! You people are just upset that they nudge to you to a certain direction and that’s there’s obviously a “correct choice.” Just fucking go against it if you care so much holy shit. If you end up a shitty villain, you probably deserve it, but so what?
