  That's fucking ridiculous. It shows that cops don't lack training, they get the wrong training.
  
  They all have flashlights in their belts, and I'm actually surprised they have gun lights at all. That said, there's no reason to use the gun light instead of the flashlight unless you anticipate and intend on firing. And beyond that, guns don't fire unless the trigger is pulled, so not only was he drawn and pointed for no reason, he had poor trigger discipline.
