WASHINGTON: The US House of Representatives voted on Tuesday (Jun 4) to advance a largely symbolic bill calling for sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) after its prosecutor applied for an
"The US firmly stands with Israel and refuses to allow international bureaucrats to baselessly issue arrest warrants to Israeli leadership for false crimes."
So if Israel is innocent, why are they not allowing independent investigators in Gaza? Or independent media inside Gaza?
You know if you are innocent there isn't anything to hide, and by refusing this, you simply acknowledge your wrong doings.
And now imagine if China had sanctioned ICC prosecutors when they announced Putin's arrest warrant. I wonder what would be the reaction of the US in that particular case?
revoking their visas and restricting any US-based property transactions.
So any icc employee who has settled in the US. Loses access to family. And is unable to sell property to fund moving them. To a less politically toxic nation?
It could be a ĺittle more then symbolism to the lives of anyone involved who has a visa.
Republicans seem to really ignore:we no longer live in a world where the girl/boy next door is your most likely wife/husband. Many of us human beings build relationships accross borders now the Internet is so linked to our daily lives.
They know they are complicit in this. They are scared of the precedence this sets. They set up legislation (the hague invasion act) back in 2002 in order to protect elected officials, military personnel, and their allies (specifically named Israel) from persecution from the ICC because they were already doing super shady war crime shit back then.
Arrest all the traitors and warmongering d-bags. Fuck a statute of limitations.
