All opinions are biased and I don't like Manjaro!
With TorrentIO you can watch the content there too, that essentially adds torrents fron some of the most popular torrent sites to your provider list and those cover basically everything you could want in english!
I had a lot of success with StremIO and the TorrentIO addon, that allows me to stream directly from the torrents of various sites with autoplay, IMDB, remembering where I am at and all that good stuff
Dualbooting is a great start for most people who want to switch but USB sticks have cheap storage controllers so they will die insanly fast if you put that kind of load on them permanentely and it will probably be slower than a HDD.
They crash enough on Windows already, I would highly recommend against it! :/
I used Newpipe for ages but it seems to struggle with the recent wave of blocking attempts by Google so I just switched to Libretube, that has the benefit of Sponsorblock and promised Dearrow support with the next release!
I would usually suggest Newpipe but that's a little buggy rn so Libretube is probably your best bet, that even has sponsorblock aka it skips in video promotions from influencers too!
Interesting, seems like there is a Linux app now too, well still not a fan of externak devices just to sideload but luckily the EU will improve that with the Digital markets act I guess
You should be able to switch that on the login screen, Fedora started to shit Wayland a little early for my taste but it works really well by now
I think they do a great job for new Linux users because what seems like bloat to us is the (at least in my opinion) most comolete GUI experience on Linux but I agree, it dose have quite a bit preinstalled to achive that.
There are ways to sideload apps on iOS but I think you need a Macbook to do so, I had a iPhone once because I got it for free and I will never touch one of those ever again!
If you want something that "just works" any Arch base won't be a good idea in my opinion. I love Arch but there will be certain things to figure out from time to time and for someone with little experience they can be tough! For you usecase I would recommend Fedora, that's a lot more up to date but not a rolling realease and tends to just work for me.
Even before their repairability score from iFixit sucked big time! :/
You are probably missing Libretube in that case! ;)
I guess Lemmy users probably also have high sympathies for digital piracy, opposing copyright is very wide spread within the open source community but there are a lot of factors at play here and I'm glad that's the case because I only started to really use it on Lemmy! :)
So the VIP can't even be banned by a mod? That's a fucked up system and I can only woder why it worked at all for such a long time!
With enough machines (especially powerful gaming rigs) you could probably still make a really decent amount and since the malware is detected by common antivirus tools and even Windows Defender as far as I can tell it's most likely old and just used again by someone but you always have to be careful with all claims in the cracking scene and considering how long that site has been reliable I definitely have my doubts!
Thanks! I don't know why a VIP would have this kind of power but that's exactly the kind of explanation I was looking for because (as usual) a lot of people claim all kind of shit whenever they get a chance and it can be hard to understand what actually happened, glad it's not as bad as it seemed at first glance! :)
My favorite Reddit client Infinity has a Lemmy version now, it's still heavily WIP (pre-release) but works like a charm already. A few hours ago IzzyOnDroid added it to his F-Droid repository so while it's not in the official one yet, which isn't that easy with a pre-releases app and only updates weekly, you can install and update it thought your favorite F-Droid client now! If you use F-Droid you should have Izzy's repo anyway, otherwise you did something wrong! ;)
This should be enough but if you have issues adding his repo I recommend to get Aurora Droid, it's a beautiful F-Droid client and has a list of useful third party repos you can enable with a single click!

I would like to split my Mastodon acctivity to two accounts because I have german and english speaking followers. The english speakers don't need the german stuff but I would like to have the english stuff on the german one so I need some way to auto boost all posts from the english account with my german one.
