Hey everybody, I'm looking for the best Android apps using the todo.txt format.
On desktop I like Sleek and I hope to find a fitting app for Android.
(NOT looking for general todo apps but specifically todo.txt apps)
I'm already on a hosted Nextcloud but Nextcloud Decks does lack even the most basic features and I'm not looking for file storage here.
I'm interested in recommendations for apps to share ideas, links, screenshots, text,... with my wife.
Use cases: sharing possible vacation spots, things we need to buy for our kid, interesting articles about specific topics, useful links regarding a project we're both working on and so on.
Currently it's all cluttered in text messages.
I've looked into
- Nextcloud Deck
- Trello (my current top pick)
- ClickUp
- Notion
and a few others but most of these tools are geared towards project management while I'm looking for something more versatile/"creative".
Here is what I need:
- Android and Windows Client or preferably Webapp
- Easy sharing from Android and browser
- Possibility to create different workspaces/topics/channels
- Decent and simple UI
- FOSS is a plus
- Doesn't have to bee free
- Not selfhosted

That's true but they annoy you with a persistent banner to add an email address later on. But it's working nonetheless.
It's already set to Top 6 Hours in my instance settings. Eternity has it's own settings panel for sorting though.
I'm using "Top 6 hours" as my default sorting option but everytime I open the app it's back to "Hot".
Is this just a bug for me or a known issue?
Bookmark folders as a built-in solution. The OneTab extension if you'd like a little more advanced features.
As a workaround until this is a feature people interested in that could install Firefox Klar and set it as a custom tab provider. It's basically an incognito-only version of Firefox.

I was a little confused when I saw the thumbnail because of the play symbol. Why is this a gif btw?
I have to add that the example shown in the screenshot is a random location so I'm not familiar with that village.
But that highlighted portion is not part of the postal address. And it's not listed under enclosing features (so no Verwaltungsgrenze, Bezirksgrenze or similar).
I agree it seems to be something historical but I see it in lots of locations and I think it's odd to include historic names in the address query by default, isn't it?
Unfortunately that second part does not show up in enclosing features.
I am a regular Osmand user, but I don't know much about how OSM works in detail. I noticed that in some services that use OSM, addresses appear like in this screenshot.
This second part of the address often has interesting names that I've never heard even for places I know well.
To me it looks like the name of a Gemarkung or something similar.
- What's the correct term for this part of an address?
- Where is this data derived from?
- Is it possible to show a map with the borders of these Gemarkungen (or whatever it is called)?
Also glad if someone can point me to the docs where I can read about this. I browsed the wiki but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I just don't understand why they moved to discord instead of Lemmy. Discord is just a dumb platform for thread based discussions.
As a non-native speaker I encounter this phrase from time to time (in podcasts and such) and I'd like to understand the use (beside the literal meaning which is obvious).
Why would you say that? or sometimes Why do you say that?
To me, that sounds almost rude, like rebuking the questioner. However, the context usually leads me to conclude that this sentence is to be understood neutrally, in the sense of "I am interested in the background of the question".
How should the sentence usually be used? Or does it depend solely on the tone the phrase is used?
If you don't mind buying another tool - there are unscrewing tools, which you apply like a screwdriver and hit it with a hammer. They form a new cross-slot profile in the screw head and at the same time give a rotary impulse to loosen the screw.

Going on vacation and looking for an entry-level RPG like game that I can play together with my wife while camping.
It could be pen and paper based or an actual board game. But it needs to be a guided story which requires little preparation. Also open for other suggestions for 2p other than the typical classic/card games.

Joey for Reddit was my reddit client of choice for several years now. There never was any announcement from the dev regarding the future of Joey.
So there were speculations if he made a deal with reddit and would continue with a subscription tier.
Boost however officially announced they would shut down with the API changes coming.
I just checked and both apps are still going strong.
Shouldn't they have stopped working on June 30th?

I was using the I don't care about cookies addon but there was talking about the development going in a shady direction so I got rid of it.
Currently I'm using the ublock origin annoyance filters which works only half of the time.
Which filter list would you recommend?
Is there a better way to handle this or is ublock origin still the way to go (for cookies, ad blocking is great).
