  A tennis player said she didn't respect her opponent as a competitor, said she was too cut throat. Fun fact: The opponent was Zheng, the tennis star who western media said was disappeared by the CCP, and was very concerned about for a minute
- How does the olympics work why are the only countries competing china, NK, Japan, and the USA no matter which of the sports I look at? Is this like the just first round elimination and then the other countries will play?
  
  You should watch the NBC abridged coverage of the China/NK mixed doubles. Basically no winning NK points even though they kept it close the whole time. Such bad, clearly biased coverage, no love of the competition.
I love Olympic level table tennis. It's like the table is at best a decoration.

I can't find the reddit post but this exact same picture and title are floating around Facebook, LinkedIn, so it's reasonable to figure it's a pro-West troll farm posting these around wherever it can
i know it's a misinfo post, but I wanted somewhere to put these thoughts:

just the other day, the USA was celebrating it's first men's gymnastic gold medal in 16 years, with praise especially going to Stephen Nedoroscik. But you didn't hear a single peep about how 'that's not a very american last name' or 'america probably doesn't deserve that medal' like you would if he was Asian American. just a subtle bit of sino/asia-phobia that comes around every olympics (and you'll see the same for any assumed 100% white country)

I feel like on some level the US doesn't deserve the medals this team might win. I really can't put my thoughts into a reasonable form though.
