"Can you wear political clothing to vote in Texas?
No. Texas law prohibits "electioneers for and against any candidate, measure, or political party." "Electioneering" is defined as including "the posting, use, or distribution of political signs or literature." This applies to voters, poll workers and loiterers during the voting period within 100 feet of a polling place."
One of my neighbors hasn't talked to me since 2022 because she tried voting in a 'Let's Go Brandon" shirt and I told her she needed to go change or go to the restroom and turn it inside out.
You don’t have to do that. Just charge him with a felony. Texas I’m sure has laws disenfranchising felons, and if they don’t then they’re losing to Florida.
I somehow think that he got away lightly. I am not being punitive but I can’t imagine it going this well for someone else. At least give him 24 hours in county jail.
Sounds like the guy has a few bruises but is otherwise ok. Things are bad when I'm wondering if police will be hanging around voting areas this election to try to prevent this sort of thing. Are they even allowed?
